It's sad! After reading many comments I feet as if you don't want Trevor to grow and stay the same! Every art needs honesty and he has to stay true to his art to keep on growing! He owes nobody any explanation other than to his own creative soul. Some of his jokes has so many layers that I love to hear those again and again...Trevor is one of the entertainer whom I truly respect for always being bluntly honest but without being harsh or vulgar. He is a truly talented mimicry artist but he doesn't overdo it and talks more about global issues. He is joking but he makes sure that he is no joke! Salute!

Trevor I got to tell you something mate.... there is a "China town" in a lot of cities. Singapore has a street called China town, Kuala Lumpur has a China town, every city in Australia has a China town. China town is just a street or a few consecutive streets where you get a lot of Chinese food, Asian curios, clothes, cheap stuff made in China like fans, massages, battery operated fans, hats with extra large rims, mobile phone stuff, fake xx watches, fake xx bags etc etc. The best part is China town is open 7 days a week till the wee hours of the morning!!! It is a big tourist attraction in any city. Everyone loves China Town.
@joy1ess Жыл бұрын
I don't think he's ever been to china. Chinatowns look nothing like china at all
@linustw Жыл бұрын
Kuala lumpur doesnt have chinatown. That area was the oldest commercial area of kuala lumpur and happened to be congregated by chinese merchants. There are many places like this in malaysia and we dont called them chinatown. Funny is that singapore which has 70% chinese population still have chinatown. Ridiculous isnt?

I am a real Trevor Noah fan and have always loved his clever observations and his genius disentangling of all kinds of societal/cultural phenomena, but this weird joke is really indeed out of tune.. and you could tell from the silence/ non-response of the audience that it didn't land and also his facial expression to quickly wrap the 'joke.' I've never come across a Chinatown in Europe. Where in Europe would this Chinatown be located?
@helgaioannidis93652 жыл бұрын
@Esphaeras Praestans Kantstraße in Berlin is one single street and not even for its whole length. You'd never think you're in China when you find yourself there. In Rome Piazza Vittorio Emanuele was called "Chinatown" by some media sometimes, because it sounds cool, but the square has been a multicultural(!) neighborhood for the last 30 years with a heavy presence of African immigrants.Just take a look at the "orchestra di piazza Vittorio" and you'll understand how Chinese dominated the place is... There has never been a "Chinatown" in Rome. Also here in Greece you won't find any. Athens doesn't have a Chinatown, Vienna doesn't have one either. Nor do Budapest, Kiev or Istanbul have a Chinatown. London and Paris are not "all over Europe", Europe is much more than France and the UK. One has to consider that only recently Chinese immigrants started to move to Europe in bigger numbers and European cities often try to avoid the formation of those kind of "ghettos", where people live culturally isolated which then get romanticised as "Chinatown" or "little Italy" when in reality they are a place where minorities are kept away from the centres of power.
