Just a heads up, when using corrugated iron as budgie roofing be careful to wire the underside, this may seem like a waste of wiring and unfortunately is an added expense, however the small budgies are able to escape out of the cage where the corrugation lifts up, also snakes can gain access to your aviaries that way.

You want better breeding results… 1) more perches ie lovebirds do not mate hanging off the wire. 2) offer nest material lovebirds make nests ie they get stimulated by building a nest offer willow tree branches and watch them strip the batch of a use for nest material. 3rd a safety door ie you walk through another 2nd door and close it behind you before entering and then you will not lose any birds. Best of luck Adam lovebird farmer Uk 🇬🇧

Daghang salamat, higala for another great sharing! Be careful, Lovebirds are very smart, they might escape, unless you make double doors entrance like the old cage. You might separate the swings next to each other instead of on top of each other, so their guano (bird droppings) won't fell on the birds below them. Good luck! Po/Ned 🌷👍🌷

Hi Dexter, yout success will continue I'm so very sure, if you can access some light soil it may help your grass squares that you have layed in your courtyard area, this will help the root growth and save on water retention. I really hope you can access some new land for your larger animals soon, with God's will. Kindest regards Mark

awesome new aviary! i think they neeed some more fun perches and toys... like maybe bring in some potted bird-safe plants and things or just branches and a playstand for them to play and chew on. i have 4 lovebirds (one breeding pair and 2 of their babies that ive kept so far) they are peachface not eyering (fischers) but they also have cool mutations. out of my single pair i get pied babies. ive gotten pied babies in either regular green type and also pied blue mutation, lutinos, creaminos. etc. their past 2 clutches i got 2 blues pieds , a lutino, a creamino, a double dark factor seagreen (considered a blue mutation -but comes out looking more like an olivey grey-green color), and a pied single dark factor green. im amazed at how many different colored babies my single pair has been able to hatch out. I kept my double dark factor baby and one of their lighter blue pied babies who has lots of pied spots. I dont charge any different or higher for different mutations , i just like to find good homes for them and see people smile when they take my babies home and make them a member of their family. plus ive noticed that while i love the double dark factor, that the dark factor birds changes their feather quality a little bit and the tips of their tail feathers sometimes get a little raggedy ... it looks a little odd but its just part of the mutation. ive noticed it to varying degrees on all of my dark factor birds. all from the same parents but only the ones that show dark factor get raggedy tails (i just mean the tail feathers get a little frayed looking and dont preen together as easily. the mutation changes the texture of their feathers a bit. so i dont see charging more for something when its really a matter of preference. i charge more or less based on just if its parent raised or handraised and if i spend the extra money to get the babies DNA tested for gender then i charge a little bit extra to recoup the money i paid to get them all dna tested since that is something not a lot of breeders do... most times you get a bird you dont know the sex but i usually do DNA for them so people know what they are getting since people like to know and can sometimes have a preference. (not that i can always meet that preference like last time i had pretty much all girls so if someone wanted a boy specifically they would be out of luck. i had someone who would have preferred a boy if i had one but was also okay with a female since i didnt have boys.) my babies are handraised and all very sweet no matter the gender.

Good day sir dexter's, I can see that you started transferring your pets, especially those can be transfer first.. Sir dexter bout ur parakeets and African love birds eggs. Why not try put some marks, on the eggs and the box nest where the egg taken from, then try if this birds will sit and incubate on their eggs again, then if not that's the time you put them in incubator😁.. And about your chicken cages and the other cages at the old farm, try to dismantle one at a time, and assemble it also one at a time, so their will be room for every birds n chicken or ducks that will be transfer and one thing no waste of materials only the effort and time, and spend few bucks and not a lot. By the way by doing all this work, keep safe and be extra careful, the best if no one's get Hurt. 😍Godbless us all, keep safe sir dexter and your staff to.

hello sir dexter! I always watch your vlogs and it inspires a lot of people, especially to the effort you make to breed all your pets, your plans are really good, but just a little advice especially to your African pets lovebirds, you need to separate the high mutations especially the opaline and euwing opa, you should breed them in individual cages so that you can choose the best of their qualities, and also to avoid confusion about their identities especially you decided to breed them in colony breeding, but it has some disadvantages because our pets are territorial which can cause sudden death, and make sure you always check the cage you made because african lovebirds love to dig woods which might cause your pets to escape, I hope this will help you thank you!!
