When I played loot river I found a good amount of different items and skills/ so on, it just really rewards discovery, since there is a lot of hidden areas

My only problem with the Rogue Legacy games is that you don't actually create a build throughout a run and to me that feels very stale. One of my favorite things about roguelites like Hades for instance is that you have a lot of agency over how your character develops throughout each run, and that's really not present here.

@Aluzky I came here to say this. Keith, I think that's a 100% valid take on the first game. But I think that addressing that issue is one of the things that makes RL2 such a big step up. Now, you have Relics AND Blessings to differentiate each run from the next. The fact that every class has a unique weapon and moveset helped a fuckton, too.

I came here to say this. I was a big RL1 enjoyer, but I held off on buying RL2 until it got polished. So far, it's been worth the wait. They haven't just made a sequel. They've innovated every system in such comprehensive ways. It really feels like a step forward, and I can't stop playing. 🙂

Except spin kick works while just tapping left shift. And Q/E to dash left/right is pretty common for keyboard controls. Keyboard controls are pretty standard, and also the preferred method of play. There's a lot of attacks that you need to aim.

i've played a bit of this game one thing i'd say is to set house rule collision damage to off, a lot of classes you need to dash atk and it gets you killed a lot!

I've played a lot of this game and one thing I'd say is to not do that. You don't have to get the skill crits. Also, there's a class later on, the Boxer, whose entire unique benefit is that they don't take collision damage. So it's a slap in the face of that class to give that to everyone.
