Researching where someone lives based on an image of the front of their house is creepy. I don't know why anyone would think that would be okay.

I think you should absolutely keep the two story lil moment in the basement! Even if its tiny the girls will crawl all around up there and it will be magical!
@Sofuchiss4 жыл бұрын
I think you should keep the ledge in the play area under the stairs as long as there’s enough headspace for the girl to sit upright. You can maybe add a bookshelf or something to make it a little reading nook for them!
@katiewilliams61934 жыл бұрын
I say keep the ledge for the tree house part, the girls are still small enough that it could be really fun

Definitely leave the livingroom area open like you have it already. Do you have a door to close off the laundry room? What about moving the "under the stairs play house" under the upstairs stairs instead of the basement stairs? Also I absolutely love love love the archways!! I'm definitely stealing that idea for our build lol

My daughter's bedroom has a raised area with a ladder. When she was little she could stand up in it. Then later she would crawl up and sit. For awhile we put her mattress up in it so she had her whole room. Now she is in college and she uses it for storage. The purpose of that space will change, but you will love having the memories of them being little and playing in it. Also, no worries about the weather. Our house in WA was built in one of the rainiest towns in our state and it worked out fine. There were literally puddles of standing water. Breathe. It's all good. Enjoy this exciting time!

I think the little ledge in the playroom would be fine! The girls are small enough they’ll fit for a while, and you can just make it all nice and cozy with some pillows and blankets. And those archways look gorgeous!!

Okay I totally remember you sharing the front of your home and it was the cutest thing! I tried finding pictures of it again for inspiration but couldn’t find a single one. Makes sense you took them down if people are SHOWING UP TO YOUR HOUSE 😯😯😯 That’s so strange of people.

I love that huge archway because it kind a looks like it used to be separated but then you added the arch to make it more of an open space. Or I guess you could say it’s like an open space but with slight division.
@vklaus87024 жыл бұрын
OMG, your basement is bigger than our entire apartment. :) It may be somekind compulsive that North Americans always want it bigger and bigger, so this happens in Germany as well, but actually takes so much time and space in someone's life taking care of a big house with all the stuff inside, driving a lot in the car because urban sprawl makes it impossible to keep distances short and so on. Nonetheless building a house is so exciting and I love to watch yours becoming a home anyways. Wish you all the best for this journey

My parents built a home and I feel like the framing is the fastest part and after that it feels like it takes forever especially towards the end because it’s such small things where you don’t notice a big difference. So excited to see your home though I hope they move fast! 💕

I think for the under the stairs room, even if its not tall enough to be super useful for the kids, you could still store things up there! Also, be careful during the driving clips so the neighbor houses are not visible either : )

It's going to be perfect! 😊👌 I'm sorry for getting out of the chat but it's raining a lot here and I had to do a dam in the entrance gate for the water. It's never the first finish date 😅 from framing to move in was like 5 months... We couldn't get an electrician cause he was so busy, and same with the siding guys. It took like 7 months for our house and it's like the fraction of the size of yours haha

We built a house in Utah two years ago, and the framing was by far the fastest part. The rest of it took quite a long tine to complete, and we moved in three months after what we were originally told. Of course every build is different, but I would expect it to be later than February (just my guess!)

I know it sounds creepy, but I love knowing and learning about we KZbinrs live. It’s not about being a stocker, it’s just I love real estate. But I would never in my life show up at a person’s door and I don’t understand that mentality. How dare they?! EDIT: I should clarify that I don’t mean knowing your address, just the general area. And I’m only ever interested in the actual house when it’s a place where I can’t imagine how it would look like on the outside. Mostly because the architecture is so unique.
