Hey Donn, awesome build, well done. I've got a fair bit of experience driving amphibious tracked vehicles in the army, and they all have one thing in common, tracks are very bad for water propulsion. I would suggest you maybe add a small battery outboard engine on the back, it will give you way better propulsion than the tracks ever will.

Every single negative comment here comes from a person that has never done one tenth of one tenth of a percent of the fabrication that you did in this build. The KZbin platform is a blessing and a curse. Idiots that have to hire someone to come into their house to change the batteries in their smoke detectors can critique you for how you built a one of a kind amphibious vehicle. You have built something that is amazing. Not perfect, but amazing. I congratulate you. I wish I could’ve been there to celebrate with you and your family. 🍻

I’m building a articulating dump truck and it’s funny how many people seem to doubt the 13hp engine I’m installing on it, they keep saying it’s not going to work, it’s the same people that say it would not float. Good work my friend and thanks for bringing us along, I definitely know how much more work it is to not only build something this big but to also video and edit it, most people will never know how much time and work it takes. One Of the best veicles projects of the KZbin. If you look to the trooper veicle M113, to navigate the water you will need a unidirectional flow in it. Using side spolers, made of rubber or simmilar, that cover the tracks, can provide that flow. Sorry for my poor english.

I am amazed at how much skill and time you have put into this machine. I have watched quite a few projects of yours, but I somehow enjoyed this the most. The patience to carefully engineer and put such a mechanism together is very cool to see. You have once again proven that you are one of the greatest DIY'ers on youtube. Greetings from Namibia 🔥💯🇳🇦
