I love how realistic you’re both being about time spent with the babies. Knowing once they come, you won’t be focused on anything but them. It’s sometimes hard for first time parents to understand just how much of your time will be dedicated to the babies needs. I am excited and nervous for you about becoming parents so soon! Please be prepared for the fact that it is magical but the first weeks are also absolutely exhausting, scary and overwhelming. And I've only had one at a time. So be kind to yourselves if/when you start asking yourselves "what have we done?" Or doubting your parenting skills. We all go through that. ❤ It's going to be ok. Hopefully you have planned out having a family member or two present to help you get some sleep through the first month or two.
