We've heard (and experienced) the horror stories about lousy RV dealers. We had SUCH a great experience buying our new rig from Corrin at Thompson RV, we wanted to share. @thompsonrvinc @outdoorsrvmfg ❤🏆😄

We are more than likely going to choose this line for our TT. It is noteworthy that there are less than 400 workers manufacturing this line of RV. That small of a workforce producing top quality craftsmanship says volumes about the product they make. ESPECIALLY in this day and age! I appreciate your video and n particular Corrine, who has put out pretty convincing videos in her own rite. Many thanks and keep em coming! We will be planning a trip out to Oregon next year. We live in Florida where the closest ORV dealer to us is in Pa.

The true test of a RV dealer is when you need them AFTER you drive off with the new rig. These folks sound like they’ll be there for you if needed.

I too have been very impressed with the Thompson YT channel. They seem to be very secretive about there pricing. Can you comment on your pricing experience with them?

We were very happy with their pricing, but we think that like many dealers we’ve seen, they generally don’t post them online. We’d suggest calling or emailing them directly to inquire.

Have you experienced any clearance issues with the sliding pocket door? Another owner has scuffing/scraping on the door especially in the lower third next to the refrigerator where the tolerances are very tight.
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 3 ай бұрын
Hi Peter! We have not had that issue. There’s a little adjustable guide down near the bottom of the door that allows some space. We’re not sure if that’s new for 2024 or not, but it seems to do the trick.

Do you have a checklist that you recommend when looking to buy a used RV motorhome. I see a lot of motorhomes out there but pictures are pictures until you see it in person. Again what sort of things do you look for and what sort of things do you walk away from?
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 2 ай бұрын
@@gameboy4696 The single most important step we recommend to learn as much about a used RV is to have a pre-purchase inspection performed by a qualified professional technician who specializes in going over the rig’s systems and reporting the details of its condition.

I'm trying to ask you about a product but cannot find away to communicate to you. So...have you ever found an A/C cover for our Dometic units we have on top of our Mountain Aire?
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 23 күн бұрын
@@lastrick08 As we were full-time during the entire 18 years we owned our Mountain Aire, we never covered the A/C units. I know they make covers for other A/C models, so ones that fit our low-profile heat pumps are likely out there. Maybe check with Dometic, or a place like Dyers Online to see if they know, or carry them. Adco is also an A/C cover provider who likely has low-profile covers.

What a great video! She did say, way back in 2020, that a 1500 series truck was not optimal for our 24RLS-A…and she was right! We now have a 3500 series diesel, and what a difference! We did go with the most capacity, and a plate for a fifth wheel…Corinne, we may show up😊 Great videos from ThompsonRV! Indeed ORVs are heavy! Wish they sold them out east! In Canada that is…

While I did drive trailers many years ago, I was pretty rusty when we first picked up the RV and it did take a little time to get back in practice. The best thing you can possibly have to make it easier to back up is a spotter with a walkie-talkie in their hand!

We also bought our 19MKS from TRV, and Corrin was who we worked with. We picked ours up a few weeks after you picked your up. Absolutely a great trailer, and the best experience we have ever had with a dealer. We only have a couple minor complaints. Burton did our walk through, and I had questions about the locations of the winterizing related items that he was not able to answer for that particular model, and suggested we look in the manual. The manual is general and doesn't address locations in the various models. Not a huge deal to figure out on our own, but it would be nice if they were familiar enough with each model to tell customers that want to know. We had an interior speaker that wasn't working. I took the speaker out and a wire had become disconnected. Not sure why that wasn't caught when that system was checked off on their checklist. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe it became disconnected on the two hour trip home. Our other issue has been sawdust in the ducts. The amount of sawdust we have had blow out of the ducts when running the AC is ridiculous. There is a LOT of sawdust visible in the floor ducts as well. I will have to remove those grates and vacuum it out myself. It would be nice if the unit wasn't SO full of sawdust when delivered. I'm a home builder, we have someone that vacuums out all of the wall cavities in our homes prior to insulation being installed. It's not that hard or time consuming to address such things and deliver the customer a bit cleaner product. Overall we are extremely happy and recommend TRV to anyone.

Great to hear from a fellow 19MKS owner. We appreciate your comments, but compared to the horror stories we've heard (and experienced ourselves) in buying a new RV, Thompson was far and away superior. While no one is perfect, the challenges that usually come with settling into a new home (including an RV) were nothing more than minor niggles for us at Thompson.

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a good dealership at least in the tampa bay area, we have a bunch of jackasses running them, the service depts are useless, and sales, good luck they will bend you over their desk, i have bought from every dealer in the tampa area and they all are the same junky dealers, we are now trying to buy a super c but we have had no luck, we will wait for a lightly used one from a private seller, no more dealer BS. 😊
