I used this stuff this past season hunting mullies in the Colorado mountains out of a 308 with a 24 inch barrel. 250 pound buck, high shoulder shot at 200 yards, went straight to his knees, not a single step.

It seems once again that Defiant is the top of the line ammo. When that 700 bolt knocked BOTH blocks clear off the table and "cleaned the plate", you know it exceeds most other ammo brands, and yes 308 is the do all caliber. I'm just hoping the sent you, or they make some 10MM stuff. That would be a great test to see!

That's some awesome performance from that TCX projectile. I just looked on their website for that ammo. At $76.31 per box of 20, they can keep them. There is no senerio on the planet that can justify that kind of pricing for a box of 308 ammo.

Roger that. I could handload this with new brass using SMK , measure each charge manually using a manual dribbler and pay myself $40 an hour , and still come out ahead. Not dissing their product for anything except price.

That stuff is brutal! I generally handload sierra ballistic tips in .308, but these have some incredible performance. Thanks Tools for more of a reason to stick with conventional calibers! Really appreciate what you do.

That's amazing, I don't think I've ever seen expansion quite like that from a 30 caliber bullet. You deserve a lot of credit for these tests, those rifle rounds are really hard on the jelly and I know that stuff ain't cheap. The only 308 I have is an old Aussie L1A1 FAL and I haven't shot it for years.

Super good results out of this ammo Tools. Theses guys have their act together. They are confident in how their ammo will perform and it shows. I agree with the thought about all these wildly exotic ammo sizes. The 308, 30-30 and 30 06 will get it done. Be vigilant and always be safe my friend.

I too love the .308 Win. My bolt guns are 26" barrels and my AR-308 is 20". I live in Wyoming at over 5000 feet elevation. Bullets out here in the thinner air travel further and faster so when shooting a .308 Win out to 1200 yards, a good bullet is still supersonic... even if just barely. I have a .17WSM, .22LRs, .22WMRs, .223s, 6.5CM, 30-06, .338LM, and my favorite is still the .308 Win. Great accuracy, adequate power, and easy to find components for reloading. I've not been a fan of the monolithic bullets, but that TCX showed some impressive expansion... I may have to change my mind.

That load hits like a BIG hammer! It would be a perfect 0-250 yard deer load in my 16'' barrel Ruger American as the penetration is better in the shorter barrel. Maybe a little destructive in my 22'' Ruger & Tikka.

I don't need block test to know what these do I hit a deer at 30 yrd from a 16" pof Rouge could not find the entry, exit was golf ball sized just a hair rear of center mass and dropped where he stood. Great expansion even at short range, WTW turned me on to defiant and this my go 2 hunting ammo in any caliber I have that they offer.

Thank you for another great presentation! I find no fault at all with 308 for defense. Particularly against people shooting from cars or from behind cover. These coppers gave very nice velocities from the SCAR. I'd like to see what more common and cheaper 125-150gr soft points or ballistic tips do in the gel. Those plastic tips are great for autos like the SCAR. My guess is explosive expansion with less penetration.

Very nice. I did some shooting down by our pond range this morning. Had to do some Mini14 plinking and some training with my carry pistols to help stay sharp. Found the limits on the range for them today as well for their setups. I wish my pistols were more accurate further out. I love these videos great job. Educational and enjoyable as always.

Love the 308 my self Tools taken many deer with the round. The copper rounds always seem to be better than lead bullets. I taken deer with 70 grain 223 and they were excellent wound tracks.thanks for the video and information.
