My favorite thing about this episode is how none of the Germans want to admit that they have NO clue WTF a "gonculator" is.

John Banner, who played Sgt. Schultz, was a Jewish Austrian who fled to the United States in 1938 to escape the nazi annexation of Austria. He served in the United States Army Air Corps for three years in the war against Hitler until 1945. He also lost many family members during the Holocaust. He knew how deadly the nazis were and chose to make fun of them playing Sgt. Schultz in Hogan's Heros and to show not all Germans were nazis because he never considered Sgt. Schultz as one.
