Outlaws is merely disappointing. It might be a commercial failure on that account as well, but the more level-headed reviews I've seen of it suggest it is just a mediocre game. A lot of us can remember an era when any new Star Wars game was equally underwhelming, and often for basically the same reason: a product made because two big corporations decided it was time for a new licensed title, not because anyone actually had an idea for a good SW game.

Ya but you gotta realize there are two different value systems in play. Reviewers are looking at the game to see if/how buggy it is, how much content there is, whether it adheres to the franchise, and on and on. If someone has never played a ubi game or is a kid and a star wars fan, the meta score is probably accurate. But if you're a gamer or "in" gamer culture, then the user score says everything you need to know about how uninspired most of the content is.

I work at a game store in South Africa. We got 6 copies(4 PS5 2 Xbox). 3 of the PS5 was preorders, and 1 Xbox was a preorder. We sold the one extra copy for PS5, one or 2 for the preorders. Both Xbox copies are still in the stock room(I believe, can't remember as I'm off today and tomorrow). Don't know about other retailers, but sales were weak with us, the company didn't even seem to order more copies. I'll only know Thursday though, as that's when we get stock

already saw all the honest reviews of the game... Biggest flaw is that it doesn't "Feel" like star wars, hence immediately breaking any immersion within the lore of the universe. It's a poorly skinned splinter cell esque game... Meant to make you think it's star wars, without anything actually feeling that way... Stick to KOTOR 1 & 2 if you want to get your star wars vibe.. Not only does it miss the star wars vibe, it misses the Han Solo vibe as well... I don't know who these developers are trying to kid with their poor attempts at trying to capture an audience. Even children who may not know anything about star wars, would still be demystified by this and not find anything special about it.. You can tell this was created more by a marketing team than anyone passionate for star wars... "Cute creatures are popular with kids! We need to have one in the game!" "Female protagonists are important so we can say we're for a feminist agenda!" "Everyone's already used to playing as a Jedi! Let's create a game that gives them no options in how they play and force them to go as a rogue with zero intrigue to star wars biggest selling points!" Honestly it's a joke.. No options to choose what kind of space sidekick you could have. You're stuck with their hopeful version of pikachu... No choice on making your own character, stuck with a boring and uninteresting character model which lacks dynamics in all kinds of immersion that KOTOR did right... And then you can't even pick your class or shape the story on what kind of character you will be... With endless boring stealth missions nowhere near as creative as say Beyond Good & Evil... This entire game is a farce, especially with the potential that the Star Wars universe has to offer... Biggest flaw for me was the writing and dialogue... Feels like a poorly written Far Cry game.. Which makes sense since both games are made by the same company, but still... Extremely lackluster character interactions...

I am currently playing X Beyond the Frontier -- a space sim made back in 1999; cost me $1. Although I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't consider themselves a fan of the X series (QOL is not great compared to newer games in the series). I would prefer not to touch Star Wars Outlaw.

Looking at the reviews of Jedi Survivor, most of the negative reviews revolves around performance issues, which depends on which console or how good your PC is, but most of the good reviews praise the story gameplay and deisgn. Just for the audacity of SELLING early access and then wiping the save due to a bug this game should be trashed. The graphics are terrible, not bad per se, but characters, animations and effects just look wrong. The ai is broken and make the stealth aspect useless, which is the core of the gameplay. The dialogue feels forced, especially with less important characters and the fame constantly breaks your immersion with stupid bugs, glitches or non interactions. Star wars Outlaws is truly a 3or4/10
