If collector dominance clears the flipper-brahs and pump & dump youtubers out of the hobby, it'll be for the best.

Breakers and fudge packers too. No longer needed. Move on to the next scam. You don’t even know the history of the sport you’re wasting all your money on. I used to care, now I just enjoy laughing at others misfortunes and tales of idiocy.

The discovery process that you describe here is what I love about the hobby. Personally my binders are odd and full of gaps. The majority of my fb is 1984-91, then it picks up with some scattered y2k stuff and then a few pages of hometown legends. Most sections are kinda like this. I am having fun just going to local shops and hunting down random topps and pro set cards I remember and seeing how they look in the binder with others. Funny how much a 1989 Bo Topps fb can change the look of a whole 9 pocket. I'm like wtf I love scrapbooking now?

You're right that there's a bunch of product out there - and it can be hard to figure out what to buy or what to let go. I focus on being a set collector and set builder, old-school style, from packs and trades and limited single-card purchases. That keeps me on a budget, because once I'm done, I'm done until the next set I want to start building comes out.

Just buying and completing late 90s early 20s Topps Chrome football sets. Also focused on hockey. Its nice to get back to set collecting and away from the social media influencers talking about big cards and hits. Cheers

Buying a box is basically like playing the lottery, but the way it use to be me going into wal-mart back in the 90s and paying 99 cents for a pack of 1995 topps... those days are over man

My eBay watchlist is bloated and I add to it every single day lol I get saved search emails every morning and I really struggle with debating whether I buy a bunch of $30 slabs, or save up for the $100+ slabs. I have many different collecting interests within cards and it gets difficult. My true North Star is staying within budget no matter what. I have a weekly budget that I stick to, and anything I buy that is card related, whether it’s actual cards or card supplies, I subtract whatever I spend from that budget. Really tough, but I do stay true!

My focus is on MJ, modern Pokémon 2020-current, modern Baseball players specifically Skenes and Elly De La Cruz, and HOF vintage players that I can find at yard sales.

Thank you for the video SCD!!! Definitely a wealth of riches in the collectable space as a whole. I'm old school and still love putting together sets. Drooling over some Topps Transcendent while top sleevin' my 1990 Skybox Jordan.Ha! Ha! Man I should have hung on too my original Nintendo stuff from childhood! Who would have known that would be a thing! My main focus is putting together a set of 1986 Fleer basketball. That Jordan rookie is what made me crazy about collecting!! 👍👍✌️

I buy all sports players in all sports that are top tier HOF with name recognition… when u do that u end up with pre war, vintage, modern, and ultra modern cards.. the lean tho is certainly to older cards….

So many cards in slabs. A lot of stuff I see is like: can u crack that and drop the PSA tax so I can just put it in a binder 😂

Demand will never catch up to supply. It doesn’t have to. Demand will never die because nostalgia will always exist. Just like demand, supply will never die. So, long story short, all cards go to zero and people will always be there to buy it all……

2024 was the year people stopped grading rookie parallels. 2025 will be the year people stop grading autos and numbered cards. Expect major changes at PSA

I am starting to have this feeling about SCD and its not good. Its a "I cant stand this drama-filled dude". Every video has to have some "problem", something "negative", or something dramatic. Starting to get boring watching these videos. Also seems like this guy cannot make up his mind on things. One week he says one thing and the next he says the complete opposite.

Yet, here you are watching and commenting on every video, poopstain. What do you expect influencers to cover on their KZbin channels?
