SoD will be back, I have a feeling they feel the loss way more than we do. War within will be awesome even if its just for the story. Hold your seats, Blizzard has a lot to make up for, they know it, and I bet real dollars that they will deliver. People do their best work when backed against a wall. I see myself playing TWW pre patch instead of sod. not playing both as sod wont release p4 until around the pre patch. Haven't enjoyed sod since p2 and been spending my time playing cata having fun with heroic raids and seeing vanilla players struggle with mechanics in cata lol.

Getting sandwiched between Dawntrail and TWW prepatch is a hard spot to be in. Big reason why I won’t be coming back to SoD. Also Sod has a very clear shelf life compared to retail. Not trying to invest in an MMO that’ll be dead within a couple months

@@TheComebackKids I play retail pvp maybe once a month. I think I played last week. Every class can do everything, nothing about the gear feels special, mythic+ are so sweaty you're not getting a group without perfect io, playing a caster in pvp is just aids because everyone has a silence, stun and cc, sometimes I feel like I'm sitting there cc'ed more than I'm playing the game. Dragonflight was a decent expansion overall, but the game just feels hollow and without personality now. Way too much bloat

Ohhh yeah not sure about that one didn’t buy cata one! I would say for Cata though they streamlined the leveling to where you can pretty much just follow zone story lines one after the other! You should be alright without the guide for that leveling!

At this stage there is not really anything pulling me to tww. I dont have enough time to keep up with how much of a grind retail is with a full time job. Hero talents look uninteresting. Warbands are a cool idea but that is for people who have the time to give to the game. If my friends play it, i may just bite the bullet and go in but i am going to sit and wait. Blizzard has to prove to me they arent going to screw the pooch at this point.

@@TheComebackKids well for dk specifically it just looks underwhelming. I would have preferred something that enhances the spec I already chose instead of "well I can either summon the 4 horsemen at random, or i can randomly get an Argus scythe swipe and see if it explodes for massive damage." Like, give me more things like we had as set bonuses in legion where we summon more frost welps if we choose to do the breath of sindragosa build as a sort of example. Do something that makes me feel like "yeah, this is what a frost dk would do." If that makes sense anyway.

@@TheComebackKids I did for 12+ years.. Retail just feels like a dead cow that Blizzard is trying to milk to death now. Just have lost interest. So have alot of my friends and family,.. part of the reason I don't play retail anymore. SoD was my last ditch try to play WoW again and now it seems like the devs have left it for dead. *shrug* sad but we moved on..
