I am glad the situation around Dauntless is talked about. This hurt a lot of players, especially those who backed the game since the closed beta. Not only that, but the passive aggressive replies to the player’s complaint. They are pretty much saying “this is the game now, if you don’t like it, leave”. This “Forte Labs” should be really investigated. It’s so suspicious to me, that they accuire IPs only to never care to turn them truly profitable. They accuired another game going under the name “Project Dragon”. It’s official name would have been Everhaven. It was ready to be shown and shipped, but Forte shot down the entire thing and fired the devs. The amazing stuff they created was uploaded and it shows a very promising product. Whatever this Forte Labs is, I am wondering how they earn money if they cancel/ruin everything they touch.

pretty sure Project Dragon was being developed by the Dauntless Devs, Pheonix Labs. could be wrong though, that just what I gathered from an article i read. Legally speaking, there's little, if any, reason to investigate them. They've done nothing against the law. They're just morons who've got too much money, and they go around making dogshit decisions to try and generate more money from invested playerbases. Unethical? Sure, but illegal? Doubtful.

A good tip for beginner players of poe or poe 2 alike is that you don't need to feel shame for looking up a build someone else has made. Falling short of that, prioritize your survivability stats more than damage, as for the most part from what I can tell damage comes mostly from levelling gems and your equips rather than your passive tree. That doesn't mean there's not powerful damage spikes you can get from the tree, but if you find yourself dying a lot, you can always respec for money now in poe2 instead of the original system where you needed to find currency to do so, so feel free to experiment more.

CDPR's idea to have a lock function to their character randomiser is actually genius. It's the kind of revolutionary idea that only people who care deeply about what they're making would come up with. The only other revolutionary idea similar in value to this that I can think of is Prince of Persia The Lost Crown where they added a screenshot to accompany map markers that you place. Truly amazing.

Let's be completely fair to Rocksteady and Suicide Squad, while the game was a disaster and didn't do well, they *still* delivered what they promised in terms of the four seasons plus the offline mode. Arcane never got that opportunity with Redfall and they didn't get to release their promised DLC (that was a part of the bite back special edition).

7:12 just for western devs. Eastern devs are still cooking with their live services. They know what people want and what they can do, and didn't force a known single player studio to make a live service game. Marvel rivals just released and it shows how live service can still be successful. Not to mention countless gacha game that already released/announced

yup. Gacha mechanics suck (they ARE gambling), but the games themselves are usually great. I'm playing 8 gacha games now, and the storytelling, visuals/aesthetic, music, voice acting, and gameplay are generally better than a lot of the stuff from the 'West' that I've played. Genshin Impact and the rest of HoYo's stuff are great (GI is my 'main' game, now, followed by the other HoYo games lol). Reverse: 1999, some localization issues aside, has great storytelling and atmosphere. Nikke's stories and characters are compelling (although I'm not a fan of the actual gameplay lol). Wuthering Waves, while, IMHO, not as good as Genshin, is solid, too, and has great combat, and a traversal + stamina mechanic that HoYo could 'learn from'. The most recent one, Girls Frontline 2 Exilium, the first GFL game I've tried, has been great, too: scratches the XCOM itch enough (although it could be more complex), combined w/ an interesting story and characters. The only problem with them is time... So many games. And the upcoming Ananta looks really interesting, too (I hope it's good for free-to-play players like myself lol). I've neglected other non-live service games... (e.g., barely touched Baldur's Gate 3)

Poe2 tips: Check vendors after level up they reset, look for good bases to use orbs on +move speed boots, + gem level, +life. If you get stuck on a boss, go back and do side content you missed, skull and chest icons show up on the mini map highlighted if incomplete.

I love how CDPR during Phantom Liberty was like "ok guys, this is it. This really is the final update" and then bam! They plop in multiple other updates making the game even better
