I seems difficult for manufacturers to get it right. RTR ,OK but rubbing bodywork and inadequate shocks . It seems to be a recurring problem something is always not quite right. Pay a bit more and go upmarket . IMO . I think we could hear the frustration coming through. Keep up the great work . Great video Vas 👍

Apologies for the previous comment, Vas (not Greg! 🤣). I had a queue of videos playing, and it transitioned to another one while I was typing. So the comment posted on the wrong video. Thank you for your unbiased, honest reviews. This truck seems promising, as long as the owners address a few areas. It's amazing how far the hobby has come regarding value for your money. Wishing you all the best! 👊🏼👊🏼 (I deleted my previous comment for the sake of sanity, lol)

Haha, no worries. I figured the other comment had a good explanation, but had some fun with the reply anyway. Thanks heaps for the kind words and yes, this hobby has come a long way. You're right, this truck has some potential, it just needs a little TLC and it'll be a great value basher. 😎

Best honest running footage of this on YT. MJX seem to think they can set up a 10th scale like their 14th scales but the game changes when the size increases ( that's what she said). If the price is right this would still be a good first RC that could be upgraded over time.

Thank you man, appreciate that. Yes, MJX have a bit of work to do on this truck, but let's see what they do and how quickly. 🙂

This is the first channel I've seen that isn't raving about the truck. Vas must have paid out of pocket for it 😂
@AussieRCPlayground6 ай бұрын
No, didn't pay for it, I'm just not a shill. 😁 Although, I haven't heard too many people praising this truck THAT much. I mean, it gets better on 4S, but it kind feels like any other truck on 3S, really, just with bad handling. LoL.

Interesting first run. I think I'll make some minor adjustments out of the box before driving one for the first time.

Fantastic video Aussie the stock shocks I think in fulling up with fluid or change the shocks out for some different ones. That plastic spur gear needs charging out for a steel one I think 🤔😊😊

Seems expectations were high for this truck,, similar as Rlaarlo Omni Terminator. I guess its an appetite for people to hope that they pull off the same trick with 1/10 as they did with 1/14 and 1/12. An affordable 1/10 is needed for sure as the pricing has been rising considerably for the main brands. Anyway, this truck is clearly no ready for being a serous consideration, you are not the only "proper" you tube reviwer to talk about the geometry, suspension etc. so, at present the only truck that has stuck out to me as being an affordable, decent 1/10 Is the HPI quantum2 flux. I love the Omni terminator by the way, its my sons go to truck for bashing and its size and performance suits him perfectly but its not a 1/10 scale. Good. reliable video as always. :)

Thank you so much. This Hyper Go definitely needs some work, abd I'm sure MJX will make it right in due time. Not sure why they would release it like this knowing it wasn't right, but let's see what they do going forward.

Pretty sure if you press the power button 5 times it’ll go on 3s mode
@Boogie_the_cat6 ай бұрын
No, that doesn't apply to this vehicle. It only runs in 3s and 4s, so of course it runs out of the box in 3s mode. With 3s it maxes out at 35 MPH, the motor is geared much lower than the competition. That's why this is the first MJX truck that doesn't print a top speed on the box.
@Jeffjones-566 ай бұрын
Is there a reason why they chose such a lower ratio than the competition?
@AussieRCPlayground6 ай бұрын
Bigger motors with a lower kV can be more efficient and produce more torque. These motors generally run cooler and also have more scope for taller gearing if the setup allows. Meaning more top speed without compromising torque. The downside of this setup is that now you need to run a 4S battery which is heavier and more expensive than 3S. TBH, 4S on a truck this small is really unnecessary and if MJX wanted to do something "crazy" by introducing 4S in a true 1/10 scale MT, they have set it up very conservatively. This truck should be on par with other 10th scale MTs on 3S and go completely ballistic on 4S. That's how I would've done it. But as it is, 3S feels like 2S and 4S feels like 3S in other trucks. You think you have something with mental power because it can run 4S, but it's really not...

@@AussieRCPlaygroundyes, but even on 4s it is slower than a stock Granite 3s This may be a good starter vehicle, but if you already have 10th scale monster trucks, I don't think there's much to get excited about yet... No offense, Vas.
@AussieRCPlayground6 ай бұрын
Well, hold on, you're forgetting one thing - price. 😏 I understand they're both 1/10 scale trucks, but the Granite retails here for about $700, this MJX truck is on the shelves at $430. That's a huge difference!! I think you need to adjust your expectations a little bit, because a compromise on speed for a truck that's about $250-$300 less is very acceptable, don't you think? And if speed is still an issue, that's something a $10 pinion can fix. 😉
