He already confessed that years ago when Peter R. De Vries set up a undercover operation. But this story is another bullshit story. If he really threw her body in the sea, it would eventually show up somewhere. And there are so many things about his story that doesn't make sense at all. @bamadad53 Жыл бұрын
@@kristineteall368 they based that on the assumption he carried her body way out in the ocean and dumped her that way. If he drug out only waist deep and shoved her she would have only been 4-8 feet deep. Yes there is a possibility that sharks got her at that depth but also a very strong possibility that decomposed gases would have surfaced her and she floated back to shore before sharks got to her. That happens all the time. A guy I went to high school with drowned at Panama City (under-toe got him). He was discovered 2 days later “on the shore”. His body bloated from decomposed gases. Small marine life had nibbled on him but no shark. No one will ever convince me that Natalie’s body would have disappeared in swallow water.

I doubt the Mom is believing what she wants to. My guess is that the relief in finally hearing him admit that he took Natalee's life, may have kept her from putting a lot of weight into the details. It doesn't ring true to me that a young girl would knee a 6ft plus man after his sexual "advance", even though it gave me a lotta joy to think about. Also, carrying her body into the ocean seemed unlikely. Surely he woulda known this wouldn't conceal his crime. The cinderblock happening to be on the beach? Nah! That's what you weighted her down with. A psychopath can pass a polygraph test. I just hope she can begin the journey to some well-earned peace and healing. You did EVERYTHING you could for your baby, Beth. You're an inspiration to all of us.
@spiritofanu3112 Жыл бұрын
I find this new version of events hard to believe. Joran says he “half pulled, half walked” Natalee into the water. How could he “half walk” her if she was already dead? Is there any possibility that she could have been conscious when she was thrown into the water?The island was combed after her disappearance. Why was no blood or tissue found on the beach or the cinder block if he pulverized her skull? Did someone come back and help him get rid of the evidence? Why all the stories of his father being involved after with a boat? If he just dragged her bleeding body to the water up to his knees, where did the body go? Is there a cliff right off the shore? How did the body just go poof? This version is just too tidy. Using this confession, he exonerates anyone who might have helped him after. Just too tidy. The other point I want to make is his acceleration from attempted rape to pulverizing her skull is pretty unusual. I believe he has done this before Natalee. He might be a serial rapist as well as a serial killer. Too bad Aruba washed their hands of this whole tragedy so soon after. I remember thinking as the story was originally airing, that this island is protecting the van der Sloot family. I never forgot that feeling. It is too bad cases of attempted rape or “disappeared” women where ever this monster lived before and after Natalee were not further investigated. Something does not add up about this story. I think he was telling Natalee’s mother what she needed to hear to end the case. Sorry - more questions than answers for me.

Natalee is dead either way. If the parents can sleep better because they feel like they found the killer, and they know the story - great! Even if his buddies or his dad helped, or if she was semi conscious or if more disturbing things transpired... None of that matters. Joran waited until 3 years after the statute of limitations on murder in Aruba had passed, no other person can or will ever be charged with this crime. Sometimes the answer is to just let it come to an end, as her mom explained.

This is so chilling and just so crazy that after ALL these years, Joran finally confessed!! We all knew all along that he did it but to FINALLY hear him say he did it, to confess and admit to killing Natalie AND to give details of what happened and what he did, is just beyond heartbreaking but also very satisfying to finally get some answers!! I'm sure he left details out but I think his confession is really the truth. I've been to Aruba, and I've walked along that beach -right in front and past the Holiday Inn where Natalie was staying, and that beach is not very big (deep) as far as from the edge of the resorts that all line up along side of each other down the beach to the edge of the water. It's also very shallow in those waters a good distance out, so I'm baffled as to how her body didn't wash up to the shore and also how someone did not witness him on the beach with her or seeing him putting her in the water. There is a sidewalk (same concept as a boardwalk) along a good part of that beach where most people would be walking if they were out that late of night but, as I'm sure most of us have been to a beach somewhere along an ocean, we all know there's pretty much ALWAYS someone actually walking down on the beach in the sand along the water's edge especially when it's warm weather in a resort area like this.... so I still question some things.

Natalee was from Mountain Brook Alabama, I grew up in Vestavia Hills Alabama right next door. I was in third grade when all this happened. I remember for the first 3 or 4 years I heard about this case on a daily basis. Anytime a new development happened or an anniversary came around there would always be local reports whether or not there were national ones. For most of my life the name Natalee Holloway has lived rent-free in my head. I've always wondered what really happened to her and if she and I had ever cross paths even just for a second before all this happened. Van Der Sloot has lied many times, but I'm hoping now he's just gotten tired of all the games and just decided to tell the truth. Hopefully this brings some kind of closure to Natalee's family and if Natalee exists somewhere out there, hopefully she's at peace. Edit: After hearing his actual confession, I do believe this is him actually admitting to killing her, but the way in which it happened sounds like another lie. What he is saying leaves no explanation for why she wasn't found. If what he's saying is true she would have been. Personally I think the evidence implied by the emails they were looking into tell a more realistic version of events.

A nearby cinder block on a beach?? When is the last time you saw a “HANDY” cinder block on a beach? Very hard to believe! No, impossible to believe.
@MiketheratguyMultimedia Жыл бұрын
I'm glad that they raised the questions that they did. A body doesn't float right away, it sinks. It takes a few days for gases to bring it to the surface. So unless the tide pulled Natalee far away from shore she would have only been in waist-high water during the initial days when she went missing. Then, again, unless the body was pulled far enough from shore for it to disappear from view and / or be eaten by sea creatures, it would have been right there by the beach where it likely would have washed up or someone to have spotted it. Lastly, I've seen war crime videos of people getting smashed in the face with heavy objects. There are fountains of blood. I don't understand how this could have happened at a popular beach without someone - anyone - strolling past the area in the next morning and seeing at least some trace of blood. I don't know. Ultimately I guess it doesn't matter now, but it doesn't all add up to me.
@beadragon1048 Жыл бұрын
I totally agree! They SCOURED those waters and beaches immediately after and for months to years after! It doesn’t add up! I know he killed her, no doubt but there are huge parts of the disposal that are missing! He is a seriously sick, arrogant, psychopath and has killed two girls, we know of, he should NEVER EVER SEE the light of day! 😂 His parents were in on it too, as they knew what happened and tried to cover it up! I think they may have died but if not they should be on the hook for some of this nightmare!

I firmly believe his father was complicit in getting rid of Natalie's body and covering for his son, Joran. His father ran interference legally for him thus why his being trained and considered for a judgeship was aborted by higher ups and his premature death from cardiac issues. Joran cost his father his father's job and shortened his life. Joran, imo, exonerated his father by omitting his role, by presenting a squed narrative in an attempt to win favor with his remaining family members. Keep in mind the Kalpo brothers have never fessed up nor confessed their role in Natalie's death and what they knew.

Since I live in Alabama, we heard about the case here before it went national and worldwide. It really pissed me off, besides the fact that my only child is a daughter. I almost wanted to go down there, get that guy and choke the truth out of him. I suspected all along it was a failed sexual encounter, alcohol was involved and he probably threw her body in the ocean. There are more people who need to take some of the responsibly leading up to this crime however. Why did the chaperones allow any of the students to be without supervision? Why did she go with a stranger in a strange land? Why did the parents allow their children to leave the country without personally escorting them; especially with stories abound about females being murdered while on vacation in the tropics. Don't get mad at the messenger but these things need to be said. Stop dropping the ball parents as well as these pre-college educational institutions. The town I live in, one of the colleges had what they call college days last week. The chaperones shut themselves up in their motels, while the kids were nilly willy all over the place. I rest my case..🤷🏿♂️

College kids do need supervision. I think the Alabama teens were very naive and didn't know about so much evil in this world. Forget "me too" it needs to be "count me out" meaning don't put yourself in a position of being compromised with unknown males.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on those last two points someone like that who is a sexual predator will not stop toil they get what they want and I can bet my bottom dollar that he raped her maybe more than once or twice before and maybe once after he killed💔💔 her and I’m sure there’s other women on the island or visitors that he sexually assaulted but they just were too scared to come forward or too embarrassed ashamed And it’s really sad. I think he did get a boat like someone said above from his father or his father’s employees that would’ve been the only way to dispose of Natalie’s body without her washing back up on shore💔 I know she’s at peace in heaven, and smiling down at her mother, because her mother has fought so hard and has been front and center for 18 years the exact amount of her life almost longer just fighting for justice, and I know her father and brother have done the same the whole family has been dealing with the Trauma of this tragedy, so I hope they do have their peace 🙏🏼❤️🩹🙏🏼
