Glad to see someone who actually knows how to make a real kilt - when you get up to us in late March, early April, you may come across "kilt man" - who has a little bit of cloth to cover himself with, but usually he hikes in the altogether! He could use some lessons from that hiker!

I know your kinda busy now for gear testing BUT, I’d love to hear about your poncho by Gear Swifts. I just looked it up & they are super light. Wonder if it fits overweight larger women w/ a big pack. Are items accessible w/ it on like a bottle water or snacks? Could one hook a dog leash to belt loop ok. Does it collect sweat? I thought I had my mind out for a Packa by Cedar Tree but now you threw this one out. I’d love to see you compare them. Maybe Packa can send you one of their older ones now on clearance. I’m not going ‘till after you’re home. So will just put that purchase off. Ty

Loving your journey so far! You definitely meet interesting people on trail. 🙂 I’m glad you didn’t hurt yourself with the fall. The mud/leaves/roots get so slippy. My last fall was on the FHT. No injury, but was a bit demoralizing. I already wasn’t thrilled at that particular moment. 😂 Can’t wait for tomorrow’s video!

Bravo for the 100 mile mark. Cheers for hiking in the rain. A testament to your dedication for tolerating misery in order to achieve success. Kudos for offering a history and fitting of a Kilt. Most interesting. Accolades for your enthusiasm and to Leo for telling like it is. I appreciate the views of the misty foggy trail. They are great. Reminds me of my time hiking to the Arctic Circle in Iceland. In general, it reminds me of Iceland. Wishing you peace and good fortune. Happy Trails!
