If you don’t want to put an outlet for the lamp, and don’t mind needing to rewire the lamp later…remove the cord, just clip it off, and use a rechargeable lightbulb. It looks like a standard lightbulb, you just charge it in a plug-in lamp here and there. Just note, they aren’t as consistently bright as a constant power bulb due the battery weakening as it comes time to charge. But they do give off good light. GE has a version that Amazon sells, just watch the price as they really fluctuate the price during the week, just charge it and turn it on via the flashlight toggle. The really good thing about them is they work during power outages. Going this route would give you a working lamp without a cord showing. If you have a spare lamp, try it out first with it. That way you’ll know before clipping the cord on this lamp. 😊❤

You could remove cord from lamp and avoid the cost of adding outlet in floor. Add a remote control bulb (battery operated). Love the wicker tray idea on the coffee table, maybe just a larger one. Love your style and congratulations on your new home! Perfection❤️🏡

Amy your living room is something right out of a magazine!! I love the coffee table and the wing back chairs. I wonder if you couldn't find a rechargeable light bulb for your lamp as I hate to see an outlet put into the beautiful floors. It could inhibit how you place furniture in the future should you want to rearrange the room. Just a thought!!!! Amy, I am loving all your choices for the family room. I love the green table between those beautiful chairs. If you decide to change the table , I would leave the legs green because it pulls the green from that gorgeous rug. Maybe sand just the top of the table and stain the top in the same color as the amazing coffee table & mantel.
