Truman Capote was such an insecure person. One of his best childhood friends was Harper Lee, & when she won the Pulitzer Prize in fiction for "To Kill A Mockingbird" he insulted the book & her because that was her 1st published book, & it received more acclaim than any of his. If I'm not mistaken, Lee actually helped him write "In Cold Blood."

In 1980, she suffered a permanently dilated pupil in her right eye after she was struck by a tennis ball. I remember her eyes being quite beautiful but 'different' in her early roles. I guess she must have had some corrective work done over the years as there's no trace of the damage any longer. Unless she's wearing a subtle contact lens of some sort...

Yes, she dilates the uninjured eye to match the permanently dilated injured eye and that's why she appears to have beautiful dark brown eyes. When you see her in the 1979 film, A Little Romance, you'll see she actually has beautiful blue eyes.
