Hi José. Wishing you and your wife well now and for the coming year. I have a few questions that I can’t find answers to. I have had a Canon ipf5001 which couldn’t stay printing with infrequent use. Eventually c logged heads, etc were too much. I have had a Pro 10 since it first came out, and have been using Precision Inks since the beginning. It is absolutely wonderful, but I have an urge to have a 17” printer. I also remember that when I had the 5001, I had the urge for a 24”! Now that the 1100 is here with Lucia II inks, and ipf2100s are available for “reasonable” prices, I have some questions. 1. What is the story with Precision? Will they be coming out with the same level of ink quality for the Lucia II as they now have ? This would mean that I would buy the 1100 with new inks , or the 1000 or 2100, since I assume they would continue the current Lucia ink production as well. 2. I also haven’t seen whether the 1100 will be able to turn off ink level monitoring and take the refill monitoring accessories available for the 1000. 3. I am ancient and go to Florida for 3 months. Is the 2100 even vaguely something I should be thinking about? There is surprisingly little online about living with a 2100. The cataract operation can be very rewarding for people who have been living with reduced clarity and night vision difficulties, so I hope you all “enjoy” the outcome!

Thanks. Now that the Epson R3000 inks are discontinued it would be nice a video about how to use third party inks (like inkjetmall), what is needed, how to recharge, etc. Have a great 2025 🎉!

Simple. You need refillable cartridges with auto reset chips and good ink like Inkjetmall or Precisiocolors. Precisioncolors offers MANY free Paper Profiles for use with their inks as well. Not sure if Inkjetmall does.
