Why you Should ALWAYS Print Something just Under 24 hours on the PRO 1000 or 1100!

I run a Qimage every other day. No wastage noted. Just for others: I have my Windows PC sleep (and not shut off). Scheduled windows to 'Wake' at 9pm every 2-days and launch QImage. I then set QImage to run a test print at 9:15pm, again every other day (aligned with Windows). I then set Windows to Sleep at 9:45pm. Works a treat ....

I think this tracks with my experience on the Canon Pro 300 and the Canon Pro 2100

Thanks for sharing your info, i will make so my Qimage will print a page every 23 huers. so far 6 liters of ink have bin used my my Pro 1000, and i really like this printer, but i would like to save a bit if i can..

No. That uses dye ink that does not clog. I have a Pro100s.

Hi Jose i was a way for a month over seas and when I got back I printed a test page and said it was ok and then printed my photos and there was no cleaning cycle

The printhead may have done a cleaning cycle when you powered it back on after your trip!

@@cheo1949 Nope if you press for all A it does not do a cleaning you have to make sure you do not turn it off because it will do a cleaning when you turn it back on. I have it on a ups so if the power goes off it stays on standby and I don't waste ink having to turn it back on.

​@@JackMonaghanI do the same thing....cheap UPS so the printer never gets turned off.... even in a power outage. But don't ry to run the printer on that UPS... wait util power comes back on. The Pro 1000 and probably the new 1100 has a setting on the printer display to turn off the auto power down and believe it also stops the other lonber auto clean mode which normally happens after a few days. I use Qprint for the auto small print mode but you have to set it to less than 24 hours.
