Nah. You’re speaking the truth. Roasting is a right of passage and folks who roast you typically have a lot of love for you. Bullying is different cause there’s no love behind it.

Bill Burr was a comedy writer for the David Chapelle show back in the day. He also was in a few of the skits on that show. For example he played one of sports announcers in Chapelle's "Ashy Larry" skit. Bill is also married to a black lady Nia Renee Hill since 2013

Us having to always wear something new definitely stems from our parents and them not wanting people to perceive us as living poorly. So your mom always made sure you had new shoes and clothes and made sure you never ruined your clothes. Then we grew to be adults and it became a symbol for having money.

@seasickviking5 жыл бұрын
Yo, guys, I know EXACTLY where you're coming from with 'roasting'. The way I see it, the main difference is that 'Roasting' is meant to be in good fun and NEVER in bad taste (never vulgar or on sensitive subjects). 'Bullying' is more about trying to make the other person feel horrible, possibly even to hate themselves, regardless of whether something was sensitive or not. Speaking of roasting,you should consider reacting to Don Rickles's Roasts. I suggest starting with either Mr T, Ronald Regan or Sammy Davis. All three were exceptional.
@Avarioth5 жыл бұрын
Exactly. With roasting, the target is the thing/topic being roasted (in this case the shoes). With bullying, the target is the person themselves and the shoes would just be a piece of ammo to use at that particular time.
