Bossy's troop used to be moderately small in size, but now there seem to be a lot more of them. I've been watching since 2016 when Baty was a newborn and it just feels like the troop has doubled in size since then. I would really be curious to know approximately how many members there are now.

Kneely turned out to be such a good mom, in spite of how she was raised. Gypsy would never have carried her children in the ventral position at Kelly's age. She could barely tolerate caring for them as newborns.

Dopey is more calculating then we give him credit for. While everyone sees him offering a place for the ousted males, I also see him gaining numbers by support. On a social stance, I have a feeling he will be going very far within Skull Heads troop in the next couple years.

@@ariesvirgo4393 honestly, I’m curious to know why none of the younger, stronger males are not challenging Wilde, Silas, Ethan, and Edwin. Are the females protecting them? Has their tenure been as long as Skull Heads? Did they become part of the troop with him? It’s as though his legacy has formed beyond his troop with him no longer there. Surely the other troops know by now he is gone. It’s just remarkable to watch because his troop dynamics are far from the norm. It breaks so many barriers and it be interesting to see how it changes in the years to come. I really wish they could do a more in-depth historical review of his troop. His troop is something to be studied because it is vastly different from any troop documented.

The thing that makes me sad about the ousted batchlor bros is they don't seem to groom each other as well as their troop sisters. They are itchy & often scratching, trying to groom themselves. The loners are even worse. That seems like a cruel fate.

Looks like Dipsy is officially ousted, which means Dinky is not far behind either. I’m sure Dopey’s status will help get them a foothold into Skull Head. I love seeing the bonds formed between all the bachelor boys. I wish we could follow them more often, but it’s a monumental task since they are usually sandwiched between troops.

@@vg7735 from my research on bachelor troops they can reach in the 20’s. Highest I have seen documented. The more that come in from the outside, the higher risks of them challenging each other. What makes this bachelors troop extraordinary is that they mainly come from one troop. They already hang on the outer ranks of Skull Head. I’m curious as to how many have bred with the lower ranking females. Now the wait to see how healthy their offspring are. No questioning that Dopey is the alpha of this bachelor troop.

@@vg7735 Honestly it comes with it's upsides and downsides. Being part of a big bachelor troop means security and safety, they'll never have to worry about being cold at night or being alone. But I can see them being considered a threat if they become too big which would hurt their individual chances of joining a new troop. I can definitely see a lot of the boys who are in a big bachelor troop not wanting to leave just because of that.

He filmed Dopey near Bossy's troop after leaving. Dimpy or Berty and Reddy were not far from him but they didn't acknowledge each other. I think he even chased off Berty. Knotty or Knitty or both visited and were grooming one of the siblings. Mums will not leave the troop for visits.

Mr AM, I love your videos, on both of your channels. Your videos are the only ones I watch concerning monkeys because you actually care about the well being of them. However, there is something that I’ve noticed for awhile. Your video “titles” are often misleading…at least to me. This one “It’s time to let go”. I was expecting something about a current situation where a monkey needed to move on. But I saw nothing like that. The monkeys - Bachelors - had already left their troops. I am still a fan, I just wish the title of the video would be a better description of what the video is actually about. JMHO
