I mean, there's a group of people who prefer the word producer to composer or musician, because musician usually refers either to acoustic music or pop and composer usually refers to something closer to classical music and sheet music. producer tends to refer to something made with electronic instruments. Also people tend to just say the fiddle with knobs instead of saying they make music because ngl it's mostly just chance
@System-15413 жыл бұрын
@@illford But most the time it's humility. When you say you're a composer people are like "Wow! he must be talented!". But if you say you "just mess around" you're not tooting your own horn.
@System-15413 жыл бұрын
@@chapeurato9152 Not true. These instruments can be controlled in a number of ways including keyboard, wind instruments and any number of controllers. Many of which are much more expressive and require much more skill than standard acoustic instruments (pianos don't have aftertouch). Just because they CAN be sequenced doesn't mean they are ALWAYS sequenced. Saying an electronic artist is not a musician is like saying a pianist is no musician. I play several instruments including the piano and guitar and can say, an electronic artist IS a musician.

Dude, I can just, totally watch you do this live for hours. It's just so much fun. Like, it's not even the music, is just watching you have fun, you know how you are, you really express when you are enjoying the stuff you got. We all watched you unbox a computer and a keyboard and had a blast while doing so.

I'm a "real musician", and when someone says "I'm not a musician" but then drop talent like that, nah dude, you're a musician ❤ Keep it up, this sounds NASTY GOOD!

I seriously, seriously enjoyed this video. By far the most honest and transparent synth studio setup video I've watched. I just wish I could hear this jam on a loud system, in a crowd, possibly hallucinating.

Yesss. We asked and LGR delivered. So hyped to see this in detail

I love techno/ambient music and this kind of music is great to chill-out to - turn up the volume and let the music take you.. brilliant stuff! I would love to see more. A great setup, you have - and expertise in putting it all together.

Clint giggles very hard because of sounds he made himself, which really sound as if it was coming from the album "Who's afraid of Art of Noise". I loved this!

I just realized everything LGR has and does is what I want for my life when I manage to have free time in the future.
@amoniousbt11103 жыл бұрын
Free time? the first piece of kit he showed was a synth keyboard that costs more than 500 dollars. Time is not the only thing we need. I hope to own one some day
@gerardofigueroa67663 жыл бұрын
@@amoniousbt1110 that is an important factor. I was also checking out the prices. Well I'm not really looking for high-end stuff,and if I do I can always look for secondhand.
@amoniousbt11103 жыл бұрын
@@gerardofigueroa6766 I was looking into a guitar effects module I could attach to the aux out on my Casio keyboard. Around 100 dollars. Maybe turn it into more of a synth, I'm still new to all this, but it is Interesting.

@@amoniousbt1110 Ironically, having more time often comes with having more money. The less you make, the more you have to grind to make a living.

@@amoniousbt1110 500 bucks a lot of money for a cool synth? You're not really into it if you think so.

100% right there with you on the DAW-less setup. I do have an MPC One and a couple of other workstation-y items, and a Tascam portastudio, but for actually making sound - it's all hands-on and very analog feeling. I stumbled on this entirely by accident today, don't know how I missed this since I've been a lurking fan of the channel for ages!

Good stuff and video buddy thanks. My wife recently bought me for my 70th birthday an Arturia Keylab Essentials 61 midi keyboard controller, and boy can it generate some sounds, 6,500 of them; team up with Ableton live and it's a magical mystery experience. Keep 'em coming bud, and greetings from the Isle of Wight, England.

Man, that was unexpected! You’re really good! Reminds me of the times 20y ago when I fiddled around for hours with Rebirth or how that TB303 emu was called. I really loved your classic 90s acid sound with a modern beat! You really should do more of this here!
