Omg the cactus falling on camera was hilarious 🤣 I guess this is a opportunity to make your garden even more beautiful after the maintenance! So exited to see how it goes :D

I have a lot of succulents in Southern CA, too, and I've been surprised at how well they've done when they're all used to full sun and much warmer temperatures.

Such a different spring walk about. 🥰 I have to say, I miss your old garden because it was so spectacular with all the roses & colors behind your waterfall. But I really love your new garden & the under the sea theme you’ve gone with. It really fits your personality so much! So fun!

I would love to see the clean-up. It is so relaxing to watch. After seeing your yard, I feel better about my own. The weeds are ridiculous!! My nephew cleaned up quite a few in the ground, but I have to get after the ones in my pots. It is still so rainy and dark here in Sacramento. I am hoping we move to sunnier days soon.

A true gardener - we had one plant before and now we have two!! All in all I’d say that garden emerged relatively unscathed, considering the crazy weather. It’ll do my soul satisfaction to see the clean-up though. 💚🌵😌

This really shows just how much effort you put into your garden to keep it looking so good. 3 weeks without attention and it looks a hot mess!

Laura,I have a thought. I enjoy going back and watching some of your older videos. Just this week I watched the one from 5 years ago and Carlsbad in which you had not touched a particular spot by a driveway in 2 years. For some reason that is one of my favorite older videos. Anyway, you cut the stem off of a leggy crest and lay it flat for being a bit of a circle or a wreath as you called it. I'm wondering if you could maybe do that with your sunburst aeonium crest? Maybe cut the stem down and lie it on the ground. You have all those air roots - maybe other roots will form and more of the plan will get water and nutrients that way? Just wondering about that.

It’s autumn (fall) here in Melbourne Australia. I’m dealing with mealy bugs, ugh last year hardly any but this time ugh. It’s the ants they have repopulated and we gave lots of leaf matter too after some windy days. Thankfully a whip and a chair can get it all back under control ❤

I'm in the Bay area. After yesterday's massive storm the detritus is overwhelming but none of my weeds are as big as yours. Hate the pine tree needles.

All my potted succulents are suffering in this extreme socal weather. I can't tell if they're just getting too much water or they have some kind of disease😢. Looking at your garden and how well it's doing makes me think the latter is more likely 😢

Love walk about Wednesdays. Found my first casualty. Was doing great, (I think it was a Lola) but found her mostly rotted today. Hopefully can save the new growth in the center. If not, I will have to replace. She's a common one, but so, so pretty.

your garden looks fantastic, but can mother nature puhleeeeze turn off the water faucet??? it would be nice to have it spread out a bit more over the course of the year, but i guess she's here and enjoying herself... oy... i haven't talked to one socal gardener who isn't lamenting about the state of our gardens.. it's almost april for pete's sake, lol... but you are right: this too shall pass and we will be complaining about the heat, lol... and at least the weeds looks very happy!! a clean up party sounds great! i hope you video that, it will be fun to watch! here's to sunshiny days soon!! 🥰🥰🥰
