This is the same Tavares Leafs fans keep complaining about:2nd on the team in goals; 3rd in points. The complaints always seem to revolve around the money. Tavares is the only big paycheque who sees his own side of centre. If they think he should stay in Toronto for half of what he is getting, they better say goodbye.

I don’t get why people give updates on the leafs. Here is the end of season update. Toronto makes playoffs, fumbles first round or gives the second round team a free win. And marner does nothing as usual. I’d have better odds letting a make a wish team play for the leafs instead of

I was never a fan of the isles or leafs but man JT i have always been very fond of. People only give him shit cause of his contract load or cause he chose to go to his hometown rather than stay with the isles. While it was ofc disappointing to see him leave the isles after so long, i don't blame him for choosing the leafs of all teams since he's from the area and grew up rooting for them specifically. And the contract salary so many debates about that but man the guy he's been almost a point per game player almost his whole career. The 2009-2010 season ofc was rough cause it was his rookie year but the 2010-2011 season, his sophomore season was when he really started to take off into the stud we all expected and even today while he's not quite the badass he was in 2023, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2013 or 2011, he is still going quite strong and provides excellent leadership and is a great mentor for young players to look up to. He also was the one that finally got the leafs out of round 1 in 2023. Given how much of a struggle round 1 was to the leafs, him getting that series winner in 2023 was quite the accomplishment for them cause of how long they'd been waiting to get out of round 1. Same goes for 2016 with the islanders a first round hero. It doesn't seem like much being the first round but given those respective droughts, its worth noting to his name and legacy since those things likely wouldn't have happened without him

i suck at hockey compared to anyone who ever played semi professional hockey, BUT OMG do i wish my linemates had more consistent positioning. every time i played with the top line (i was the enforcer) id have the most amount of assists from plays like this. go to the corner, knock 2-3 guys off the puck, then send a blind pass directly to where theyd be and we’d get so many points holy shit. then when the coach didnt like me or just life happens and i was on lines where they played like mini mites and scrambled for the puck i looked equally as bad because i was never the fastest, or the best shot, or anything. so id get the puck and just sit there trying to figure out what to do because when you have good linemates you can simply tic-tac-toe it. i always knew where a good player was going to be on the ice, without even looking. just had a tough time figuring out where the other ones were as quickly hehe

@@jeffreycairns767 Performance and skill makes up that 13m. But the point is, it makes little sense to not play JT with Marner. Marner is more complete, and we even saw that first year Marner and JT were together, JT had a career year. No reason to not continue that, but the galaxy brain of Keefe decided otherwise, and while Matthews had a career year, Marner was less of a complete player, and JT was being critiqued for forever. Thankfully Berube has seemingly taken note, and hopefully when Matthews is back, he is not auto paired with Marner again.
