Hold on his last four fights have been Franklin, Helenius, Wallin and Ngannou. Franklin was on sky a few months back fighting in a school hall with 200 people watching, Helenius had fought 7 days prior to his fight with AJ, walling is not ranked in any top 10 and Ngannou has had one fight and AJ is apparently the new force ? The hype around Ngannou was all down to Fury. With Tyson’s background, history and experience he should have wiped the floor with Ngannou, but he just struggled to cope with everything about him and was lucky to get the win. As poor as Fury’s performance was against Ngannou, Joshua’s was devastating which has made Tyson look ordinary at best. Tyson’s hyped himself up so much he believed his own bullshit which is his own doing. Self praise is no praise. We’ll see just how good Tyson really is in May and I hope for his sake it’s good enough because as it stands now he’s not looking great. Look at the hype around Wilder, a man whose resume is a joke, the worst in heavyweight boxing, his biggest scalp being Ortiz, 2 fights with a man in his forties who was easily beating him until getting knocked out. It’s taken a ton of money from the Saudi’s to finally get Fury to fight someone credible since regaining his title from Wilder.
@richardyoung714
@richardyoung714 6 ай бұрын
I couldn't agree more. Wider's resume is average at best. How the WBC let him hold onto their belt for so long, basically fighting bums and no-names is ridiculous. The best fighters in the heavyweight division were undoubtedly the 70s and the 90s. They never ducked anyone.

The best analysis I have seen. Nothing to add and nothing to remove. "......Self-praise is no praise", says @stevegander920. Powerful statement. I hope Mr Warren, Fury, and some deluded fans will read that. You must give us those moments to remember in the ring. Legacy is just a word. Legacy is those unique moments one leaves behind in our minds; the marks a hero makes or leaves behind. This can't be achieved with the mouth, and talking carelessly, but by turning up to the bill

AJ did prepare that fight and picked apart Ngannou by learning from his fight with Tyson Fury. Ngannou did the same switch stance that caught an unprepared Fury. You are deceiving yourself. If you put Fury against the Ngannou who fought AJ, the outcomes will be the same or worse for Fury. Ngannou looked sharper against AJ and was more confident,so he came out to fight, and that was his undoing. Ngannou shouldn't be winning Fury inside a boxing ring under any circumstance. Fury did not win Ngannou. Boxing had to be saved. I feel shame and find it mind-boggling that Fury gets all this excuse. AJ is Fury's perfect antidote. AJ is British too and has righted all Fury's wrongs. He is more civil in speech and presents as a better model for the sports than Fury. Anyways, We are getting closer to the TRUTH, through Saudi money and influence. Except Fury retires after May 18, he is about to be shut down for good by AJ. That's exactly what the Saudi Princes want for their money. Thats coming. You better prepare for the heartbreak. They control the match ups with their money. They are so rich it is an entertainment for them. Ngannou got a chance as a result. Fury is one fight away from AJ. Write this date.

Fury was obviously unprepared going into the ring with Ngannou, but let's remember that Fury does not have a single defeat on his resume, whereas AJ already has three losses. AJ was beaten twice by a Cruiserweight in Usyk. But I'd like to give credit to Joshua's new coach Chris who is definitely better than anyone he had before as he managed to elevate Joshua's game to a new quality level.

A lot of backtracking here, did no one see that 57% had voted for Ngannou to KO AJ. AJ saved boxing because of Fury's embarrassing performance and the MMA world was mocking boxing. Boxing status restored.

trouble is Fury didn't do what he was supposed to do, the whole reason why AJ fought Francis N is Furys fault. Styles makes fights, I agree with but where Fury says AJ style is perfect for Fury I disagree with, I have always said it was Fury that is tailored made for AJ, yes Fury can be illusive, but he still get hits and he still gets dropped fairly regularly, I just think AJ will be big enough and strong enough not to get roughed up, leaned on by Fury, and he will connect and won't let him off the hook like Wilder did. Also as I have said over and over again Wilder has not proved that he was a world class boxer at any stage, and his last performance against Parker was proof in the pudding. Wilder has struggled with any and every half decent ranked fighter, so hard to base Fury liniage championship pedigree over those 3 fights, the only notable win for him was Klitschko about 10 years ago and potentially Whyte, which Whyte and Chisora the plodding pressure fighter, who I would say is tailored made for Fury. Usyk, I don't know, I have a feeling Fury will be able to do enough to disrupt USYKs flow and may get a decision win. But what AJs win again show is not helping Furys legacy at all and I think it debunks the accusations that AJ keeps avoiding the toughest fights out there, not saying Ngannou, should have been classed as a tough fight but that was the narrative and over half of the pundits and so call fans seemed to have AJ as the underdog. As AJ said in one Interview people vastly underrated him.

George was spot on as usual. AJ came into that fight with not only his own career and reputation, but also the reputation of heavyweight boxing, resting on his shoulders. Considering that, I was very impressed with his cool composure and clinical performance. I wasn’t convinced by the Wallin fight but now I believe he’s better than he ever was. Unfortunately we won’t get to see him fight Fury any time soon, because Fury is going to be beaten twice by Usyk so we are facing a re-run of Joshua vs Usyk after that, but somewhere down the line Joshua vs Fury will happen.

Fury went into his fight totally unprepared and had a tough night because of it, AJ prepared professionally and like Parker has been very busy and you saw the results. not saying he’ll beat him but it’s obvious he went for the wrong game plan against usyk which was to try outbox him, since he’s switched to ben davidson it seems he’s got that aggressive style back if he actually uses his size and power instead of trying to move around and be the boxer who knows he may have a chance.

@@arthurarsekey6634 he went all out in the 9th because he thought he had usyk hurt not because that was his game plan, he was trying to outbox the boxer which is never going to work against usyk hes a master at it. davison implied AJ was trying to reinvent himself and become a “boxer” his job was to get AJ to realise he needs to play to his advantages, power, size and strength not try be something he isn’t and it’s clear that’s what he’s done, since davison his approach against wallin and ngannou is night and day compared to how he fought usyk. of course they are a lower level of opposition than usyk but im talking purely about his game plan. If Dubois a much lesser boxer than AJ could give usyk problems i have no doubt AJ is capable of beating him if he plays his cards right but it’s not easy task regardless usyk is a phenomenal boxer.
