Beautiful interview 👌🏾. Although I knew by background (Ghana/Togo), I did my ancestry DNA test too. Yes, historically, our people moved around. I am 100% West African per the report because I'm a bit of every West African Country. This knowledge helps us forge deeper connections with more people. We NEED to know, as black people, we are more connected than different. Kudos to the sister. 👏🏾

To all African-Americans who are debating whether to leave America. Think about the Black American issues such as 1. The micro and macro racism by whites and other groups. 2. The police violence against Blacks. 3. The prison and justice system towards Blacks. 4. The new high rates of Black suicide. 5. The excessive gun violence by white AND BLACK folk. 6. The genetically modified foods. 7. The new narcissism and selfishness through media. 8. The crumbling education system......I can go on and on.

These are the reasons my sister and I will take our first Tour in 2023; God willing. We are just turning 60 and we are just TIRED and HEARTBROKEN at witnessing over 50 years of blks in America experiencing all things negative. Including workplace racism, lack of raises, promotions etc. I want to step on the Continent before I die. I pray TMH grant me some grace and blessings to make the trip. 🙏🏽 I have the HIGHEST RESPECT for the African people and the Continent. I want to retire somewhere in Africa and enjoy the ocean.

I think the DNA testing is one of the issues that Africa and the diaspora needs to do away with in order to help facilitate the UNITY OF THE CONTINENT. If you look at the map of Africa between 1600s-1700s, you would see Africa was sparsely divided, until the huge division happened during the Berlin Conference or the 'scramble for Africa' by the Europeans. Many artificial boundaries were created for their own selfish reasons. We should work to reunite rather than further divide ourselves with the colonial footprints of the Europeans and DNA testing. Perhaps it may be done for the purpose of knowing but such identities should be held a little loosely because for Africa to exude any realistic global influence economically, socially and militarily, the only currency to afford that is UNITY. Awesome interview though. Keep it up!

Yes The Most High Yahuah promised to ''gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth '' : (Isaiah 11:12): . And trust me Yahushua H'mashiach has already began ' the Gathering ''. I am a Ghanaian living in London but my ancestors are calling me home to Ghana. This is the way to go and am definitely going to be a part of this movement come hell or high water. I can see clearly avenues for collaboration and investing into whole project. I am game, am in.

I think the DNA is not important, reason is when our ancestors were forcefully taken away, there was no Present day Ghana or Nigeria until 1884 when they mischievously divided the continent, also due to constant war and people running away from the kidnappers, my great great great… grandmother or father may have ended up in what is now Ivory Coast, Togo or Sierra Leon. So to me, it doesn’t matter what your DNA points to, just pick where in Africa, especially West Africa that you will feel comfortable and stay or do whatever you want.

@Joseph…brilliant comment. I’ve been saying this for years that AAs and diasporans shouldn’t spend money to find out the obvious. Africa borders are totally artificial and your ancestors could’ve really come from anywhere in West or Central Africa. Pick a country in Africa that fits your lifestyle and stay.

True. So long as you are black, anywhere in Afrika is your home(Peter Tosh). Internal migration in Afrika was the thing of the day. My fore father's were in Misri(Egypt) and others from Southern Cameroon, upper Niger Congo and later we settled around Mt. Masaba along the British created boundary between Kenya and Uganda. Part of my relatives and cousins are in Uganda and others in Kenya. President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya put it rightly where the vice president of Kenya, Moody Awori was a resident of Kenya and his sibling (J. Awori) was a minister of state in the office of the President in Uganda. My cousin was a foreign affairs minister and another one was the Attorney general in Uganda while part of the other family is in Kenya. Colonial borders must be removed. "Waafrika tuko pamoja milele daima."

It’s not our faults what happened to our kings and queens four hundred years ago, because we suffered the most unjustly acts against our humanities Africans. We had our names stripped from us. We had our own thoughts and practices stripped from us. We were so inferior against our African selves entirely. Now we know that we were brought into other’s land to be enslaved. Africans am more than satisfied we are having links with our mama land and it can be any of our fifty four countries in our mama land to visit or relocate. For me Timbuktu Addis Ababa and Accra all the way! When I landed in Accra forty two years ago, I was expecting Tarzan and famine. Not only I didn’t see it but I knew that these demons try to manipulate me but it didn’t bother me one bit that I was coming home for the first time in my life. Ase o Ase.

About 120 years ago there was no Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, etc. Europeans created the current boarders in Africa. Yes, there were Kingdoms before the Europeans arrived. DNA pointing to a country which is less than 100 years is not right. Pointing to an ethnic group is better. Note, ethnic groups go beyond the current boarders.

@@niiamu3300 Let me rephrase my response. You indicated DNA pointing to a country is not right, and I'm saying it is OK for the following reason: Those Africans in the diaspora are heterogeneous so what you see in their DNA is representive of their ethnic mix over hundreds of years across many geographic regions. Remember the DNA scientists do not have samples from 5000 years ago to use as a baseline. They are comparing my DNA with modern day samples from those they consider to be homogeneous. DNA cannot distinguish between the Akan, Ewe, Hausa, Jibu, or Ebu only people can.

I like the Odana Network....This is a good channel! But I must say that we as so-called "African Americans" are NOT African!!!! And I wish that people would stop propagating that in 2022. Our connection to Africa ended during the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade & the Slavery Era of Time.....Which the Slavery Era of Time here in the USA made us a new lineage here in the USA....Which that lineage is #ADOS (American Descendants of Slavery) That's who we are now....That is our tribe!!! We are emphatically NOT African!!!! That is over with!!! We are 500 years dis-connected from Africa!!! So again, we are NOT Africans!!! And you are Weird 🤡if you are still calling us "Africans" in 2022 🤣 And I wish that you people would stop playing that "You're an African" game with our people just to promote tourism in Africa & other schemes to try to extract finance out of our people! Knowing that you do not really care for us or our people. SMH. Africa gave up the right to claim us when they sold our ancestors to the European Slavers. We are AMERICAN now!!! More than 500 years in the making!!! THE AMERICAN DESCENDANTS OF SLAVERY. Period. You people need to STOP with the FRAUDING & GASLIGHTING!!!

@@py20 Read my comment again!!! I NEVER said nor am I saying that anyone is forcing us to be "African" What I said and what I am saying is that certain ones need to stop propagating the "We/You Are African" Myth in 2022 just to promote tourism and other schemes to our people....When there is no real meaningful connection....Political or otherwise in 2022 between our people here in the USA and the West African Nations that sold our ancestors to the European Slavers to begin with.....And that's the truth of the matter. And I do respect the right of others to decide for themselves where they want to visit and or live. But what I don't respect is the dishonesty & the gas lighting coming from Africans who DON'T really care for our people & only promote tourism and/or this return to Africa propaganda & bullsh*t, that is NOT based on real political bonds & trade relationships but instead is only based on how much finance can be extracted from us. And speaking of "Nationality" & "Identity" one doesn't get to just decide who they are....When history and the world at large has already determined that. If you're a so-called "Black American" then you are a "Black American" and if you are a "Ghanaian" then you are a "Ghanaian" I just can't wake up tomorrow morning and decide that I want to be "Ghanaian" & vice versa. SMFH. What a joke! You people are a JOKE!!! As if ones don't know who is a true "Ghanaian" or not and/or who is a true foundational so-called "Black American" & who is not. Stop this charade!!!!!
