Just mounted the Green dot on my PX4 today and looking forward to hitting the range tomorrow. Hope it holds zero as well as yours has. The Pic rail adapter is out of stock for about 2 months but customer service suggested a substitute adapter. Customer service then followed up a few days later (unsolicited) inquiring as to whether I was able to get the adapter, which was also unavailable. The customer service rep then suggested another substitute which I was able to obtain. Outstanding customer service in my opinion. I also agree with you Tools, this optic is a quality product that comes with a lifetime guarantee. Remarkable in this day and age.

I have been an olight and Holosun user for years and have always been satisfied with both brands. Good to see olight move into this market segment, but I’ll take a wait and see approach. The pricing is great and although a bit gimmicky in my opinion, the charging cover is in keeping with olight’s innovative spirit. Curious to see how/ if this product line evolves.

FN 509 is honestly so underrated. Got my first one and bought a 2nd one a few months later because I like it so much. Both have the factory flat face trigger too.

@@natew.-victoryorvalhalla4571 Apex flatty shoe feels really good on finger but after shooting both Apex and factory flatty, I preferred the pull with the factory. Mine pulls at 4.5 lbs after 3000 rounds. I'm sure the Apex kit is well worth it if it's the original hinged trigger.

@Zombie_Xin I have an older version of the 509T, so at the time, the factory version wasn't available. The only option out there was the Apex. Which, worked out in the end because I was also able to replace the FN skeletonized striker that was known for frequent failures due to its poor smithing and construction. The early models were known for failing with as little as 300 rounds. They worked the kinks out in the later models, but those first ones, man, they were not good. Apex was a must. (Every new model of gun has troubles that need to be worked out, so it wasn't anything against FN they are a solid company with an excellent track record and the 509 is a thing of beauty). I've never shot one with the new factory flat trigger shoe, but I LOVE my 509T with the whole trigger mechanism and striker from Apex. I get a pretty consistent 4.5lb trigger pull, too. I wish I could find someone with the new factory trigger. I'd love to do a side by side comparison. I think FN just basically copied everything that Apex did when they created their products in the later FN models (assuming you do the FULL replacement of all parts from Apex not just the trigger shoe.) But still, I'd love to shoot them side by side and compare. I bet they're very similar, and you probably paid less in total, given that it was factory included. Not to mention, you didn't have to risk breaking your frame, removing that stupid pin. Interesting fact: FN actually asked/commissioned Apex to redesign their trigger system after the first models had such bad reviews on the trigger, which is why I'm sure they totally stole the design from Apex. It was all a bait and switch, I'm sure of it. But, at the end of the day, I LOVE the 509T. It really is the most underrated firearm out there. It is SO superior to anything else in its class. Glock 19 can't even hold a candle to it. It is a true masterpiece of a firearm. It's my everyday carry and there's no gun I'd trust my life or the life of my family and friends to more that is an EDC. Truly, it is a work of art.

Im literally saving to get the War Poet MR920 and a 508T. And then when I got a notification from Olight (cuz I own the Baldr Pro R and Odin Mini) that they dropped this Osight: I was like....oh shoot, do I buy the 508T or this Osight? (I have the HS510C on my Saint Victor). What would you or anyone else here recommend? Osight or 508T? I think Holosun and Olight are great brands. They are my go-tos. I don't have a red dot for my pistol. (I have a G19 Gen 5, no MOS). So, now I'm really on edge. Great video btw. Thank you!

I'd love to have one of these but I've spent a lot of money on red dots and my astigmatism makes the dots look blown out or starburst, doesn't matter if they're red or green, I even tried a chevron but I just see multiple chevrons. The only one that works for me is the Cylee Wolf 2G for astigmatism, it's low priced, no frills but it's the only dot that is an actual clean dot for me.

Also an early tester. I really like the unit and if the battery life they claim in true, it will live longer than me. I wonder if it will hold up to 10mm or 556, but it's fine for 9mm and less. I really like that it came with so many different screws. The right length screws always seem to be a PITA with other mrds. I did tell them I thought their planned price was too expensive if they plan on competing with Sig and especially Holosun. I was happy to see their release price was lower than what they originally planned.

looks like the aperture is plenty big enough for a comfortable co-witness. Sometimes you need to get on target faster than you can turn the red dot on. I didn't catch it, is this one shake to activate? I don't have one of those but I'm looking at them.

Sight looks good, Olight makes great lights of all types my edc is a Perun 2 and I own many others. One question though, how do you have a wimpy, mousey 9mm FN509 when you could have it on a REAL MAN 10MM FN 510 with a 22 round magazine?

Super cool, but it need a traditional way to charge or swap out the battery. I'm not big on proprietary charging solutions b/c if you cant find your charger you cant just go get one from a gas station or something you have to order another charger from olight. For the price cant complain too much though ill probably be purchasing one just to try it out.

Yeah, there are drawbacks to rechargeable batteries but at least it actually has a charger unlike the new Holosun rechargeables that are done if that solar panel fails.

Nope. Took it back with me a few days ago to run some more after I finished gel videos. It worked out perfect that I bought this 509 and put the Osight on it immediately. I have changed out the trigger and striker, so it has given me the opportunity to run a nice number of rounds through it. I'm around 650 rounds now and no shift at all. I'm sure it's possible to get a bad one of anything but this isn't a cheap optic by any means. I'd be willing to bet most of the complaints are from Olight haters in general.

I have this sight and it says it mounts to sigsauer P365 but I have the P365 X-macro and was wondering if I need anything special to mount it. It doesn’t mount even though it’s optic ready.

Someone else mentioned they saw that on the site too. I actually emailed them to let em know that wasn't accurate. The 365 uses a smaller RMSc style footprint and this is RMR for bigger full size guns. I imagine there is some type of adapter you could find to fit it, but it would be awful big for the gun.

Wow just $160 bucks straight from their site, this actually seems like a really well thought out product. Just a question of whether my astigmatism will play as nice with these as it does with Holosun....but man it's significantly cheaper than Holosun.

Yep, I have astigmatism bigtime and the red one looks just like a red Holosun to me. I assume the green would be the same.

You're camera did the best job filming the dot out of anyone's camera on KZbin ever. I'm not sure if you have the best camera that anyone has on KZbin or if that red dot just works different, but I've never seen someone get that to work right. It always makes the dot big and blurry on camera. If be interested in seeing you try that with another common name brand red dot like a holosun, or sig romeo or trijicon, etc. And see if it works like that for those dots too. If it does, PLEASE tell me what camera you are using so I can buy it. Oh my gosh. I'm dumb. I should have just kept watching. I notice you put it next to a holosun 507c and the dot blooms out on the camera. Weird. I wonder what kind of emitter or glass coating Olight is using to get that to show up so well on camera. Do you have an astigmatism? Does this dot regulate that starburst affect that normal red dots have with people who have astigmatism? I'm curious. I astigmatism in my dominate eye and I always have problems with so many red dots. I've only found a few over years that really work for me. I wonder if this is one of those that will work for me? It would be nice to have another option to add to my collection.

I do have astigmatism pretty bad. This dot looks like an outline of a state like they all do for me, sadly. I've just learned to aim with the middle of the "state."😂 I noticed it did pick up the dot easier than I usually can on camera. Maybe just lucky. I used two different cameras to catch it clearly in this video. A GoPro Hero10 on the range and a Sony ZV-1 in the garage.

To me, it would be a nice PCC/pistol/ offset sight. Also, the charger is not going to survive the drop test 😢 just my opinion opinion. Charging features are kinda overkill but a nice touch. But for the price, hey, not bad. One more thing the charging part is not a good idea for a nightstand charge for that bump in the night.

Of course the charger wouldn't survive being dropped upside down on concrete over and over. It's plastic. Just like 99.9% of all red dots glass will bust when you throw it on concrete enough times. Those "tests" are one of the dumbest things I see.

@ToolsandTargets yea, I do agree with those excessive drop tests, but what I was saying was personally, I think one accidental drop in the right place for the charging portion will render charging inoperable .

To late when were getting solid lights at 100-150$ vatatu Ceylee cvlife zulsey been trying all 4-5 of these and honestly all are over 500-2000 rds and they run fine ..lobe my Holosun on carry guns but most my range guns are running these 120$ optics with shake awake and work great so far .. So unless its 100-125$ I don't see why I need any new companys ..there everywhere

@@trenttaylor3838 I've got nearly 500 rounds through this thing so far and have thrown it in and out of my truck and safe several times. A bump on the table aint gonna change zero. There may be someone who got a bad one like is possible with anything, but this optic has no issues holding zero.
