Wonderful video! Loved the Prokofiev museum with the Steinway serenade ... The ballet company in my hometown also performed Romeo and Juliette this past year and the music from the Dance of the Knights has been stuck in my head ever since.

Glad you liked it, Nathan! This was actually the first piece Prokofiev ever created (he was 5 years old). And the piano in the video was his own 🙂 I love the Dance of the Knights - such powerful music!

0:46 In 1993 my Russian wife (born in Krasnodar) and I were photographed together in front of the red building on your left. At that time there were many Russians on Red Square offering to take your photo; for small fee, using a Polaroid camera. A very exciting time.

Why Russians keep lining up to see Ulyanov Lenin in freezing cold ? I don't get it ,I need spend a time in Russia in order to understand. Propaganda still that huge? Lenin was massmurder,bloody killer ..,inteligent ,but sadistic man,and he was Russia maybe 1/4 only ..His mom was Jewess from Zhitomir Ukraine Misha Blank ,he had some Kalmyk ,Swedish blood ...His parents were nobleman,upper class from Simbirsk ,now jhmm Ulyanovsk.
