Good morning Brandon, nice walking the creek. I’ll take a guess on the gas can. My guess is 1935 . In and around that time. Give or take a year. Wow that story about the onion bottle is fantastic. I’ll check it out when it gets posted. Black water was a Doobie Brothers Song from the seventies. Now I know what they were singing about. Thank you, have a safe trip to Tennessee. Joyce 🇺🇸❤️

I used to watch Nicola White Mudlark. She would wade around in the mud on the river Thames and find all kinds of nifty things. She also makes art of sorts from the shtuff she finds. She has collaborated with a few KZbin folks. Anyway, she is where I first learned of "Onion Bottles" I will definitely look forward to seeing Ol'boy's Onion bottle find!! I have to say, the only time I've ever had a regulator in my mouth was several decades ago in a crystal clear creek. An old farmer here in Oklahoma had dug out a 20' to 30' hole on his land where this creek ran through. They called it " The Blue Hole" folks would go down and pay $3 or $5 to swim for the day. It had Trout, Crappie, and Bass swimming everywhere. I'm sure he stocked it with the trout. My first wife's step dad took us out to this place, the girls went off and made a spot with the kids and Stepdad and I walked down by our onesies. He explained to me the in's & out's to what I could expect. I had never been scuba diving before and was standing there thinking to myself, this is not the way I should be learning this shtuff. Never the less I followed directions and after a bit of standing above water breathing with the regulator I walked on into the water. Holy smokes I was loving it! I'm walking around on the bottom of this hole with my weight belt to keep down and digging on an ecosystem I'd only been able to admire from the surface through a mask and snorkel! I'm sitting on the bottom a few feet away from where the creek flows into this giant swimming hole watching a school of trout. Never knew trout would school like that and I'm getting a kick out of watching them appear to be playing in the bubbles created by the water flowing over the rocks and into this hole. All of the sudden those fish all grouped together in a tight school and swam to one side, then moved quickly to the otherside of the water flow, on their way across for the third time the biggest Cotten mouth snake I've ever seen flips out from nowhere and snatched one of these fish that weighed atleast a pound or so and swam off with it! Well Sir, I decided that was my cue to get out of the water and made the mistake of looking up. I started to panic and shut that down fairly quickly and started my slow walk back to where I could breath without the tank, mask, and regulator. I tell you this! Some folks believe a snake can't bite you underwater? You can call them a liar because I've seen it with my own eyes! The snake did not bite a person, but it surely did latch on to a fish and swim off with it!! There are a few reasons I'm sharing this experience with ya'll! One, if you want to start scuba diving? Don't be an idiot such as myself and stepdad inlaw!! Go get yourself some certified scuba lessons! It just might save your life! Secondly I've got to give a shout out to Anyone who dives in Blackwater and goes "Braille diving" that's absolutely insane to me!! Darn sure ain't no telling what you might put your hands on? Anyway, I apologize for the novel length comment here!! I was definitely flabbergasted by the thought of diving blind like that!! By the way, that was my first and last dive! 🤣😎🙄 Thanks for taking us with you!!

At 15:39......"As you know-I don't FAKE ANYTHING on this channel..." You have always said just THAT! I recently watched your video--where you were "calmly, yet visibly upset" & giving us an in-depth KZbin tutorial of all of the many ways about which "SOMEONE"--who ( ahem ! ) lives "North of Alabama"-- is continually trying to smear your character, your channel, your reputation, etc. You showed anyone / everyone who may have watched that vid how "very, very knowledgeable" you are about "everything KZbin" !! The fact that you have taken classes to LEARN how to "create more meaningful content", etc., etc., etc. shows me that you not only found a way to share your different hobbies with people who have similar interests...but, to continue to create content. (All of which takes time and $$ ! ) We have never met....but in watching your videos, I have commented a number of times over the years...and always get some kind of comment back from you. I know that your Father and myself are about the same age. You have told us that he is your "bottle mentor" ( my words). You have shown us that you strive to be, first and foremost, "the best family-man" that you can be!! You ARE VERY believable !! We can see, for ourselves, that you do "get skunked" occasionally--but then you just turn that exploration time into a continual history lesson. I have always enjoyed your history lessons! There is so, so much that I don't know.... I enjoy when you do collaborations with other "seekers" of "whatever". It was genius (on someone's part) to come up with your channel's name!! Your viewers enjoy your content!! Whatever you choose to show us--when you edit your videos-- is what we see. I have NEVER thought that any of your dump...river....creek, etc. discoveries were "plants"...I.e. PLANTED treasures!! You would have to have a whole multi-person filming crew to set-up, "discover", expound about your great "luck" in finding "yet one more purty marble--exactly right next to that whole, pristine 1850's crockery jug, that also happened to be sitting on a cache of arrowheads on that freshly-exposed riverbank" !! This is already way too long! Keep up the great work, Brandon (& Family).....and your many friends!!
