Obito always seems to speak a rhetorical tone for Itachi’s formidability that’s not really shown with any other character with him being scared of Itachi’s mind and will and more importantly the option of him eventually betraying the akatsuki. So what would happen if he did run the akatsuki gauntlet, going from low tier - high tier so was Obito actually justified?!?!

something I wanna say about itachi vs orochimaru is, although its clear that orochimaru knows itachi is superior by a significant amount, i don't think its as easy as everyone says. its true that with just his base 3 tom sharingan itachi was able to paralyze orochi, but in both manga and anime orochimaru was still able to fight it off. he was shaking and slowing starting breaking through, before itachi cleverly cut off his arm so he couldn't weave signs. I think it shows itachi cant just simply over power him, he has to out smart him too (which he totally does) and that's what convices orochimaru he could never take him, and that its a bad idea to face him. even in the sasuke fight, people always say "itachi beat orochimaru's strongest jutsu in a second", which is true, but itachi was also using his strongest jutsu/final trump card. and again, orochimaru had no idea itachi had the toska blade. orochimaru is used to not having worrying about getting stabbed/sliced, so in his mind it was ok for the big susano sword to impale him. he even laughed like in his head he was thinking "big brain itachi's best play was to stab me lol", then was like "oh shit". itachi knew all this about orochimaru, so again he outplayed him. if they both actually prepared to fight each other, and had full intel I think orochimaru would still lose, but im just saying he'd do a really good job in making itachi try. he'd have to use the MS to properly kill him. oral rebirth for Amaterasu, orochimaru knowing to be careful not to fall for genjutsu, and DO NOT let the toska blade touch you.

i disagree with the yasaka beads thing... just because it helped destoy chibaku tensei doesnt mean it did a third of the work, nothing suggest those beads are as strong as a rasenshuriken or a bijuu bomb, which probably did most of the work whenever those beads are used, even when madara uses them, they never do anything impressive , tsunade tanked it, i dont think she could tank a bijuu bomb or a rasenshuriken which destroy your cells. i would say that those beads are magnitudes weaker than a tailed beast bomb or a rasenshuriken

Pain stomps Itachi. Itachi + Killer B + KCM1 Naruto were needed to end his menace in the war arc, they had to combine their strongest attacks just to counter one of Pains stronger jutsus. Itachi is 3rd strongest in the Akatsuki and the top two - Pain and Obito - stop him like its nothing.

Itachi did not”blitz” nagato. That man stayed as far away from him as possible. Blinded the summons eyes he was distracted. Three a smoke bomb (which apparently the reningan can’t see through). And THEN went strait for totsuka blade. Also it’s debatable whether nagato even had any chakras left after the chibaku tensei. He could have been back to being controlled by kabuto slow ass and just didn’t move. He literally sat there. Itachi did not engage nagato in any 1v1. He does not scale to him. He needed help just to get out of chibaku tensei had it not been for bee and Naruto itachi Edo would be sealed again.

Reread the fight. Blinding the summons with kunai before chopping Nagato makes the blitz even worse. Nagato fails to show any sign of reacting to either parts of the attack until after he's been split. If you only watched the anime, then you don't know that Nagato never even turned his head towards the oncoming attack in the manga. The only sign of reaction from him is an exclamation mark *after* the chop lands. The sequence of events in the manga is *really* bad for Nagato; it does not portray him as being even kind of relative to Itachi. Smoke bombs are a basic ninja tool. If that's too much for Nagato's rinnegan, then it is what it is. It just means that Itachi's easiest win con is a smoke bomb. Also, Nagato absorbed a full v2 chakra cloak from B and a rasengan from Naruto. There is absolutely zero way for you to prove Nagato was out of chakra.

Although I don't think it's impossible do personally have an issue with the Yasaka no Magatama being a suppressed Version when used against the Shibaku Tensei. 1st Itachi would need to scale not just his Own attack, but also analyze Killer Bee's Biju Bomb (Which he never saw), Naruto's Rasenshuriken (Which he didn't see thrown but only slammed into the dog) and the Shibaku Tensei (Which he also probably never saw) at the same time while already forming his own attack to properly adjust the amount of strength needed to succeed. 2nd The Armored Form might just not be able to use them, similarly to how Sasuke Switches his Bow from the Semi-Armored Form for a Sword in the Fully Armored Version. So the higher Armor could imply a more limited Range to the Susanoo in exchange, which might also be one of the reasons Itachi only uses it when he needs either the Durability/Mirror or is close enough to actually stab someone with the Totsuka Blade. 3rd The Yasaka no Magatama used against Kabuto are all single beads spread out from each other, while the ones used against the Shibaku Tensei are revolving around each other and even sort of connected, which could mean that even though fewer beads are used, that the technique could actually be more advanced.

I think its clear from the framing that Obito and Itachi were relative. Based on manga panels, conversations and logic this has to be the case Itachi was still probably "weaker" but kind of like a Piccolo vs Goku 23rd Boudokai but not so much like Piccolo vs Raditz in the saiyan saga Any further of a gap wouldn't make narrative sense. Obito would've just killed Itachi and went through with his plans. Hell he wouldve sent Pain to to it but Obito didnt This is more of a 6/4 matchup

@Virhtue cool, you make great content. If you do it, id like to throw in my 2 cents that Samehada did absorb lightning chakra off of Bee's swords in their fight. So to me, unless you argue the raikage kills Kisame in 1 hit(he COULD, but only with a v2 blitz decapitation off rip), I tend to see that fight gothe same as vs Bee. Where Kisame is absorbing insane amounts of chakra off the Raikage and ripping off the lightning cloak until the bubble comes out. Kisame did absorb nearly all of gyuki and Bee's chakra. I don't really know why there is this point about lightning vs Kisame when in chapter 470 we see samehada take the lightning chakra right off Bee's sword before it gets stabbed.

Great video. The storm statement is actually better in the japanese since obito says nobody can reach his level not even Sasuke. Although it is mostly cannon to the anime if anything but is backed up in the manga by how zetsu describes Itachi despite knowing of pain and obito and the second fanbook covering all the way upto five kage summit just stating Itachis power surpasses everything.

Obito was cautious of Itachi. He acknowledged his strength but in all honesty one of Itachis threats didn't work when his amaterasu snuck him. My guy still survived. So idk Itachi may push Obito heavily in the fight but Obito has an out due to how busted kamui is.

A game scene claims Itachi was forced to retreated from Jiraiya, so the "worthy" statement is likely dubious. The Raikiri is also S-rank. Sasuke's ribcage was smaller when A smashed through it. It did not have a full spine. Itachi did not use the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique against B, he used the Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson. Edo Tensei seem to automatically cure illnesses given Kimimaro was also not deathly sick. The Mangekyō does not make the user faster, and Itachi had to blind Nagato before striking, which would be moot if he was so fast he could have just struck before Nagato could react. (One does not need the Mangekyō active to use Susanoo.) Kakashi constantly tries to pass off any titles of Hokage, whilst the Sannin have a much greater reputation, so not really the best proof, there. Jiraiya was also not selected over Kakashi the first time, since Kakashi was in a coma. Kisame said Deidara was one of the stronger members of the Akatsuki after Sasuke "killed" him, though it does not seem like Sasuke is faster than any of the dōjutsu users, or some others. Sasori was going to kill Sakura at the end if Chiyo did not intervene and even then, Sasori let his guard down due to being emotionally compromised. Earlier she could barely perceive the three puppet clash betwixt a slower Sasori and Chiyo. Hidan might not be able to be turned into ash since he survived Asuma's Ash Pile Burning which typically vaporizes whomever is caught in it. He is also shown getting in the way of Kakuzu's similarly large-scale ninjutsu (in the games, even amplified by Orochimaru) and gets out (mostly) fine. Itachi used Tsukuyomi on beetles, not bees, and that might have been through Sugaru's link to them via his Aburame nature (I think it was all of them at once, but others have this contention). Kakuzu was not caught off-guard since he was able to react and harden his face before the poisoned blade could nick him. He does not really ever have to dodge when he can block (though Itachi is likely superior to Kakuzu, yes). Aside from the fact that the Mangekyō is not a chakra/speed amplifier, Kakashi was not going all out against the 30% clone, either, and Kakashi was handling the clone just fine. Sakura had the most help against her respective Akatsuki, so the narrative implication is not exactly fair, therein. She only managed to shatter the Sandaime Kazekage puppet after Sasori thought she was dead, and she had a prepared antidote to even let her undergo that maneuver. The Kazekage is a hereditary position, so it does not mean Gaara is stronger than Chiyo. There are concerns in Gaara Hiden that Shikadai might become Kazekage if Gaara dies, which is moot if it could go to someone stronger, in Suna, like Temari or Baki. Ergo, Deidara beating Gaara does not prove superiority to Sasori who is stronger than a stronger Kazekage (Sandaime). I think Zetsu meant Sasuke did not suffer the mental damage because he had the power to break through it. Not that it really matters for Deidara. It is never said Itachi, B, and Naruto contributed equally in the Noka. If the destructive force need is a 100 and B and Naruto are 90, Itachi being a 10 does not conflict. Sasori's puppet body is his ultimate puppet, even superior to the >Shukaku Sandaime. Izami would be difficult since the hectic situation may prove difficult to repeat certain movements to get the loop in order. Sasori's defensive profile might also be enough to start wearing out Itachi if genjutsu does not work. Even if he burns his main body, he can possibly just eject the core. The Mangekyō does not amplify speed at all. Jigen notes Sasuke is going all out when he still has a three tomoe Sharingan, and Sasuke inconsistently switches betwixt three tomoe and Mangekyō against Isshiki, similarly. All the Mangekyō does is allow the user to pour more chakra for Sharingan techniques. Him beating Nagato was due to superior circumstances, not suddenly getting faster from fighting Naruto. If Itachi is tracking Naruto, Naruto bumping into him is not really sheer coincidence. I think Kishimoto (if he is the one who even writes those statements) purposefully kept it ambiguous, regardless. Kaguya might have been able to absorb the Susanoo, and Madara suggests he could have absorbed A's Lightning Armour, so I imagine Kisame could rip off the Susanoo under the right circumstances. Being ethereal does not stop absorption, as Tayuya's spirits are ghosts of absorption, or the Gedō Mazō's absorption chakra, or Gedō's regular absorption chains. Itachi does not need to kill any of the Akatsuki to be a detriment as he could spill all of their secrets and start working against them with some other organization, which is enough to make Obito wary of him, technically it applies to everyone, hence the reason they all travel in duos to prevent defection. Obito making an enemy of Itachi when he could instead use him as an asset and wait him out to die benefits him less if Itachi is not a real threat. Knowing Obito can teleport does not mean he knows the secrets of Kamui, shown by Kakashi not piecing it together until the war despite seeing it at work when Shino went at him. Konan nearly killed Obito despite being much weaker due to having more knowledge of Kamui (her knowledge of that did not "exist" yet when Sha no Sho was released, Itachi's ignorance was, so it likely was Kamui). If she also knew Izanagi she might have had another counter for that. It does not mean she is actually as strong, same applies to Itachi. Obito is arguably honourable as he spited Konan for her treachery, seemed to respect Kiame, and even if not, he had a utilitarian reason to string Itachi along as a pawn instead of just erasing him immediately.

Itachi didnt "tank" the Kirin. We cant see exactly what happened but we know that it hit him in some capacity because it blew his clothes off and burned his skin and he outright says it was his susanoo that that saved him otherwise he would surely be dead from that attack. First off, fire ass video holy. Itachi being under EMS sasuke never really sat right with me. When sasuke gets to the war he’s pretty much KCM2 level, whether or not he’s below or not, he’s at that level. Just before that sasuke was fighting directly with Itachi and was kind of a step behind most the time. On top of that, Itachi is quite literally basically forcefully running a play. He’s not even really tryna fight, more less just set up a circumstance. Which everyone is aware of. But we also NEVER see itachi go full power. Even just a basic wind style with his fire style (which is already boasted as the hottest) would amp it a ton. Which he could also use to speed up the spread of his Amaterasu. Genjutsu shouldn’t work on Sasori, as it effects the cranial nerve, which Sasori doesn’t have. Now whether Kishi would actually stay consistent with this, in real fight idk, but theoretically Sasori is immune. If Genjutsu doesn’t work, Itachi will likely need Susanoo and Amaterasu just to bust Hiroku, after that it really depends on how Sasori chooses to fight; if he use Iron-Sand to cover himself in a defensive shield, there isn’t much Itachi can do as he can’t get though IS. Also if this is Sick Itachi, he will quickly not have the reflexes to evade Sasori’s traps as he had trouble evading a basic Shuriken trap form Sasuke after using Mangekyo once, and all Sasori needs is a scratch Or Itachi sniffing the poison gas, IS can also bypass Susanoo by targeting underneath it. I love your videos man, and I've been enjoying this one. But I had to stop watching to comment real quick. I like our explosion Artist terrorist quite a bit and agree that he is underrated. However, the evidence you presented to show that he is in another league then Sasori doesn't really hold water. Firstly, Orochimaru was just trying to rile up Naruto. Orochimaru was a villain who enjoyed torturing people. It makes much more sense for him to say anything to psychologically torment his opponents then actually tell the truth. If we heard his inner thoughts then there would be something here, but as it stands we can't assert anything one way or another. Secondly, the Sakura point. Sakura was suffering from the poison of the ninetails chakra. Not to mention that her and Naruto were mental nerfed. It is disingenuous to compare her to the version that fought Sasori. Now this doesn't mean that Sasuke wasn’t stronger than them, he totally was. In fact, he beat his aktsuki member by himself while Sakura and Naruto needed a lot of help with their fights. So basically, it's incorrect to assert that Deitara is in another league than his partner. It is fair to say that he is stronger, but the two of them seem to be quite relative, and I quite like that. Every other duo has a pretty large gap in power with their partners.

Before I say give my initial thoughts on Itachi vs Obito I’d like to say that I agree with Itachi winning 3, maybe 4 times outta 10. He definitely can defeat Obito but he’d have to work for it for sure. One thing that people don’t consider when talking about Itachi vs Obito is that Obito despite what he has in his arsenal is a very one dimensional fighter who relies heavily on kamui. Now whether this is bad writing or what not isn’t the point. That alone is not enough to realistically defeat the likes of Itachi, who’s already observant and slippery as is. If far less intelligent characters can deduce how kamui works after seeing it once or twice then Itachi certainly can do the same and likely will. And when you factor in just how versatile Itachi’s own arsenal is, it’s not a stretch to say that he can catch Obito off guard with one of his one shot abilities but I digress. As overrated as Itachi can be, I don’t think people give him enough credit when it comes to matching up against Obito.

hot take but pain and itatchi scale above orange mask obito. his best feats are from the 5 kage summit (which really isnt that impressive and could have been done easily by both pain and itatchi) as well as his white mask feats which just consist of him losing to minato and getting a single hype statement. Considering the leaf village as a whole thought FUGAKU UCHIHA could have put the 9 tails under a genjutsu i dont feel that feat is very credible either. this isnt to say obito isnt one of the strongest in the verse but he is more of a cunning manipulator than a power house like itatchi or pain.

The susanoo encapsulates around him, so he could just breathe and the whole point of the yata mirror and why I argue it’s omnidirectional is how on the basis there are attacks, by this point that come from all directions, c4, Haku’s senbon, etc, so the yata mirror just presupposes it self to be omnidirectional
