Probably is true most generations only have 1-3 notable fighters and we it’s very iffy they were in the same chuninn exam. Minato might have have had Fukagu and Itachi was the only noteable one of his class, Kakashi had Obito and Guy but at the time they weren’t to impressive. The closest is Orochimaru, Jiraya and Tsunade but from what we have seen Orochimaru was a step above at the time yet even so compared to all child geniuses he was never made to be on par with them.

I know Lee is fast and even faster than gaara, but it doesn’t feels correct when gaara literally won the battle between the two, even more when you consider that gaara was not taking Lee serious at the beginning, and still was able to tank every hit. Lee used all his power and speed and barely cracks gaara armor sand, while in the end without energy couldn’t fight anymore. To me, gaara should be above Lee without a thought

Kimimaru is generally going to be the safer pick here through his lore assertions throughout part one such as his implications of CM Mastery alongside Hebi Sasuke and being a fighter who could fight Hiruzen alongside Orochimaru is pretty crazy, but if you were to just take the death sick one, then Sasuke wins if you interpret him to be above Kabuto, which I usually don’t.

Hard to buy into the Neji/Naruto > Sasuke/Unweighted Lee scaling given that only the latter 2 were portrayed as extremely fast by everyone in the Arena. If Kyuubi Naruto was moving at 4th gate Lee speeds, there would be more reactions of surprise among the crowd. Neji/Naruto can likely react to Gated lee's speed but that doesn't necessarily translate into their own movement speed being on par with his.

There’s no sharingan + Chidori amp, the sharingan help him look out for counter play but it doesn’t increase speed neither does the chidori.

Neji should be number 1 Firstly, a gated Lee who was ragdolling Gaara specifically states that he was saving the 5th gate reverse lotus for Neji and Guy also corroborates this, meaning any gate or 5th gate attack below the speed of the reverse lotus amped 5th gate would be insufficient to beat Neji. Since then, Neji goes through a multi week training arc getting even stronger so he can’t be hard capped at CE Lee which a lot of people like to say. Neji is then able to fight on par with a KM0 Naruto and likely would have won the fight if not for being off guarded. Base naruto pre mental amps in Konoha crush is then able to tag and fight against a second and third state transformed Gaara that was ragdolling Sasuke, eating curse mark chidoris and by Sasuke’s own admission made him fear for his life and rely on aim dodging to not get killed. Whereas Neji scales to a Kyubi amped Naruto in CQC meaning he’s probably blitzing Sasuke in close quarters, especially with his non linear taijutsu movements. As for Naruto, under standard vs battle assumptions he wouldn’t underestimate him and would just destroy his internal organs and outlast KM0. Then Gaara in the chunin exams is shown to be so mentally unstable that you only need to make him bleed for him to pass out. Neji’s attacks hit internal organs through chakra based defences so he’s destroying Gaara’s sand defence and having all his organs fail until he passes out from exhaustion or trauma. Imagine Lee or Sasuke vs Gaara but every hit damages an internal organ. Neji is a great matchup for all of them, outclassing them all in taijutsu and causing them irreparable damage within a handful of strikes with gentle fist and then nullifying all of their ninjutsu with rotation. Ontop of that he has the scaling to more than contend with them and is likely just above them all in CQC speed and reactions. This is further supported by later showings in which in the Kidomaru fight, Neji specifically chooses to use 128 palms continuously instead of dodging or repositioning himself, likely because his hand speed is significantly above his foot speed.

I don’t think that point is very central to the argument anyways it was just a preamble to get the Leetards out of the way before getting into Chunin Exams P2 scaling. Whether or not 5th gate Lee is above P1 CE Neji or not doesn’t matter as much for the second half of the vid where we’re scaling latter forms of characters post training.

There are many things to consider as well. Gaara while fighting Lee was calm but during the fight with Sasuke, Gaara was mentally challenged and wasn't as calm as he was in the Lee battle. Because if he was, then he would have been calm and rational like in his previous fight. Mental imbalance may cause effect on jutsu potency. Plus who is to say that Lee was going all out against Gaara when he was initially punching him. He was just testing the waters for all we know and it isn't so hard to actually break the sand armor. My bet is still on Naruto. Neji was equivalent to 5 Gates Lee and Naruto was matching him. GG.

Well you have to use inferences as to why Lee would of been trying atleast the the threshold where if he were to try more, it wouldn’t gain him more ground as he does drop the weights, and then enter the gates. No after that, I actually could agree with you as there isn’t a higher end after, and I’ve brought up the possibility of Les being around to blitz around Gaara more before going for the reverse lotus but yeah..

This is irrelevant to the video, but I've asked around and would like more opinions on this question: In chapter 666, was Gaara's sand falling apart because he intentionally halted the chakra supply after Sakura and Naruto were safely transported, or because the chakra flow was severed after being transported to time-space, causing the sand to gradually lose its cohesion?

Yeah so while I believe the interpretations to this can be vast and multiple in correct interpretations but the most likely case on the basis of Gaara certainly forming it in a half sphere, when then as soon as they are transported through the subspace, the sand then begins to fall yet holds its shape briefly before then falling to the ground, therefore what seems to of occurred would be that due to Kamui being a sealed dimension, Gaara’s sand lost its incoming source of chakra, yet it maintained the chakra that was already allocated and placed into the sand that was on the other side of the subspace. The sand also then is completely gone in 665, showing how it’s practically just his chakra that’s formed.

The idea that the Reverse Lotus is related to the Eight Gates Released Formation is entirely unfounded. Gaara was able to manipulate his sand to break his fall after being launched, so he was not being completely overwhelmed. He was even still standing after the assault, clearly painting him as the superior. The relative increase in power from Gaara and Naruto also does not need to be equivalent. It would appear later in Part II that each bijū's transformation may provide differing levels of power, since Naruto's Version 2 appears to be much stronger than the other Version 2. 19:50 The anime guides are not that reliable, the Fireball being shown is not even with the Sharingan, so I find the claim it makes someone passively stronger to be dubious.

I appreciate that! And I’m glad I could help, what would you like to know about Orochimaru, where he placed as a child? Well all we know is that Hiruzen touts him as having a much higher initial level of talent compared to either Tsunade or Jiraiya, which is probably our best guess at where he would of been, but concretely placed him somewhere is pretty difficult. The fourth databook notes how Hiruzen surpassed Tobirama from childhood so maybe Orochimaru had more talent than Tobirama but again, it’s not quite power correlated.
