Hello! Can you please do an episode of what to do after you get your citizenship? For example how to get your ID cards, enroll in health insurance in Italy or how you can be covered in all of Europe, etc? Thanks!

We have id cards in the US, but usually for people who don't drive or just want an extra id and it looks like a driver's license and comes from the same place as well.

True, but it’s still different from ID cards issued by a centralized authority like the ministry of interior with a permanent identity number, etc. You could theoretically move to a different state in the U.S. and get another ID card from a different DMV with a different number.

@@JerusnamWien85 yes but I found out at least for DL, and I am guessing it would be the same as an id card, that the real id part transfers with you when you change states. When I moved to GA for a year, I was told it was mandatory to get a real id dl, so I did. And when I moved back to NC they told me that my real id automatically transferred there because I had gotten it in GA.

Can you get an Italian ID card if you are not an Italian citizen? Just wondering.

Not a lawyer but my understanding is if you’re not an Italian citizen, you cannot obtain an Italian ID. Cheers. 👋🏻

@@lucchese20unless one moves to Italy and obtains residency, but it would be the residency card issued by the immigration authorities, not the CDI.

Can we get one about shipping/registering cars from another country. I see stuff about engine sizes an what is not allowed. It’s a little confusing.

If I change consular districts within the U.S. or declare residency in Italy do I have to get my Passport and ID card re-printed

Not a lawyer but my understanding is if you move (even within the state) you should notify the Italian consulate. Cheers. 👋🏻

It's really difficult to get the id card here in Roma at my circoscrizione. I have been trying for a year and a half now.
