How did you know this was just what I needed! As someone who is in the middle of the arrangements, the more clarity the better. All I can say is right now I’m so grateful I hired a local wedding planner to do the paperwork for me and with me.

Buongiorno Grazie for all this information my husband and I who are both European citizens, me Italian and he Czeche, as well as Canadians plan on living in Italy but would like to try it out before living there full time. If I understood my husband can not stay more than 90 days in Italy. Would it be easier for us if he applied for his Italian passport before we leave? Since we would like to stay at least one year and then decide what to do. There are so many questions I want to ask but let’s start with this one. Grazie Mille

I have my appointment with consulate coming up here in the use... I have all my paperwork translated and apostillated. My question is how long from when my application goes into the consulate will I get my dual citizenship? I've been researching online and is it true that the Italian Government has up to two years to give the dual Citizenship ?

How does the tax procedure go when you buy your first home in italy and intent to live there Do you must pay the 9% purchase tax first (always) and you can ask 7% back. Or must you pay the 2% purchase tax when buying?

I have some questions. I have tried to figure out a way to live in Italy. My best option so far is to open a business. •How much money yearly does my business have to generate in order for me to stay in italy? •How do I even start to apply or see rules for a business visa? • I'm interested in the montepulciano area. What are businesses that are NEEDED in that area? •I could maybe buy a duplex and rent or airbnb that as well. •I'm also currently trying to start a Tuscany tour business/ retreat for the fall of 2025. • Can you please educate me in this? Thank you, Christy

It seems like Italian dual citizenship is eventually going away. The italian government will most likely end everything, only allowing citizenship to first generation kids. It's totally obvious that it's going this way. What's bizarre is that they take in migrants with zero skills, assets, etc, yet individuals who want to come to Italy and start businesses with capital are shown the exit door. It's truly the death of Italy.

That has been my question for years. We will be retiring to Italy and want to start off in Rome, but we will look for our final location once we have lived there for a year or so. I always see these long rental agreements and was wondering how to deal with that issue. Good to know you can give a 6-month notice and get out of a 3-year agreement.

For a 1948 case, do Minor children have to be included as applicants? Is it mandatory that Minor children are included as applicants in the lawsuit or just the parent be listed as an applicant? Also, please clarify, what was the fee per applicant prior to the $600 fee?

Avoid €1 homes in the historic center since you won’t be allowed to renovate it to your likes since you must follow the original design. Some towns have a few plumbers, electricians, tilers and already have their hands full with ongoing work so you have 1-time mostly but the people you need to work for you is already busy and you need to consider to put yourself in a waiting list. Another thing is the renovation cost. If you are looking for jobs or opening a business there choose towns over 6000 inhabitants not less. If you don’t care at least try to buy cheap, prices in housing market in Italy are stagnant so you won’t get anything extra for all the job done, just the renovation cost back. Some regular homes are in sale for 20 years, ask yourself why? And use that in your favor to pay less. Some houses weren’t opened for up to 5 years. You can find a lot of crap inside and you can negotiate a rebate for the cost of dumping all that crap. Talk to neighbors asking if they remember when the house was in sale. You can buy houses with some work starting from 25k. Even less but in good condition not too many.
