What is the fee for MINORS in the 1948 court case scenario? Also 600 euro each?
@heydeereman104016 күн бұрын
Yeah, I started working on documents 2 years ago. I am finally ready to file my 1948 case and the price quote has doubled! On top of my USA attorney costs, this has become outrageous!
@jdolce10111 күн бұрын
It’s unbelievable! How much have you spent in all so far?
@heydeereman104011 күн бұрын
@jdolce101 my US attorney is up to about $7k. The rest of the documents so far is around another $2k and now the 1948 case is looking about $11k for 4 people.

@ why a U.S. attorney?
@heydeereman104010 күн бұрын
@jdolce101 I had to file a lawsuit against the state of Colorado because they refused to correct my Grandmother's vital records. Instead of admitting that they screwed up, they decided to fight me in court with multiple Attorney General attorneys.

It wasn't stated clearly, the 600 Euro fee per petitioner in a 1948 case, is that only for adults? Are minors also charged? Or are fees for minors waived as they are in the other two citizenship by descent methods (consulate/municipality)? - Thanks!

I have the same question. I’m already working with ICA to get my And some of my nieces and nephews citizenship. They are asking about their kids who are minors. I have an additional question: for the 1948 case, do Minor children have to be included in the lawsuit or can they be excluded and just the adults included as applicants?
@COOLTRIP15 күн бұрын
@@zridgewood I'm working with ICA as well, my two sons and three nieces will be included in the lawsuit. Clarity on the question will definitely help budgeting.

After you do get dual citizenship in America and Italy, how long must you live in Italy each year? Is it the same for the United States as well?
@kw77092 күн бұрын
You don't ever have to live in Italy if you don't want to. The U.S. doesn't care where you live as long as you pay your taxes. : )

Is that 600 in addition to the application fee or it is the application fee?

Eliminate 'attorney' from the equation and watch the fees shrink significantly. The attorneys are taking advantage of the situation

Do minors in a 1948 case have to pay the $600 fee? Is this fee on top of the court case fees?

Citizenship by marriage? I didn't see that covered. I think I am through all the hurdles - waiting for my decreto - but don't know whether a new surprise will come up for the final stage

What was the court fee per case for multiple applicants prior? was it 500 each person named in the petition? or 500 per case filing?

For those of us who are already in-process and have a court date (1948 case), will there be an additional fee?

This is my question too (ours is in April). I suspect an email to the ICA is in order.

For a 1948 case, do Minor children have to be included as applicants? Is it mandatory that Minor children are included as applicants in the lawsuit or just the parent be listed as an applicant? Also, please clarify, what was the fee per applicant prior to the $600 fee?

Does anyone know if italian officials have relaxed their stance on the need to have documents rectified so that they show the birth name of an ancestral as opposed to their adopted name?

It would've been nice if it had been clearer. The fee is currently E300, right? So, the fee basically doubled?

@@ChristineF55 well then you are not "suing" the Italian court - you are just presenting your case to the Italian court. I'm approaching it the same way for 16 family members, although not a 1948 case.
