There's an idiom "toimii kuin junan vessa" which is about the toilet like shown on the video and direct translation for it is "works like a toilet in a train" since such toilet can't really break easily and it just works. In other words "works like a charm".

Yeah hard to broke, when it's essentially just hole to the tracks 😂

2:16 - 2:27 Maybe it's one of his favourite train stations because it's so quiet? 😂 4:34 That character from Moomin is called Little My aka Pikku Myy. 😄

As you can see, most people don't ride end to end. However, these old coaches have accessibility issues (try getting in with a wheelchair!). Also, speaking from experience, even on a short trip in summer heat air conditioning would be really nice. These were built in the 1980s when cold was a much greater problem than heat, so they have powerful electric heating, but no cooling to speak of. The good thing about newer trains: speed (mostly better acceleration), accessibility, power outlets, better bicycle facilities, nicer toilets (all trains built since 1988 have vacuum toilets, these commuter coaches are the last ones built with the old style ones)... Bad things: seats only seem to get less and less comfortable, although that's not so important with short trips.

Here are couple of video recommendations about Finnish trains: Taking a SLEEPER TRAIN to the ARCTIC CIRCLE by DownieLive Overnight on Arctic Sleeper Train (The Lapland Express) by Simon Wilson Sleeper Train to the ARCTIC CIRCLE (Will We Find Santa?) by Jeb Brooks The first one by DownieLive doesn't have ensuite bathroom but the other do have it.

Did you know that you can go on a cruise to Sweden or Estonia from Finland? The names of the cruise ships are Viking Line or Silja Line. I hope you find interesting videos for it. People go to Estonia for cheap prices. Alcohol and tobacco are cheaper there.

Actually I have been for example in Roma Termini and Milano Centrale when there's even more quiet. Okey very early in the morning but anyhow 😁 Btw I think Trenitalias trains are so easy and convenient way to travel in Italy. Of course Italo Treno also. Especially if air condition works 😁 However when we travelled from Mestre to Rimini it was not nice 🙈 We had change in Bologna and of course the other train were full of people and we had to stand all the way to Rimini 😁 Anyway I have watched lot of your videos and I like your style. Keep up the good work 👍 Greetings from Finland

There are two type of trains, which are cool and exiting; 1. Old steam trains, like Flying Scotsman. 2.Latest and greatest , the most modern train available. Those are great. 1990's trains are just rubbish. Built during 90's economic depression, by depressed minimum-wage workers. Hooray, what a quality! Honestly...that train really is pure rubbish. When it's gone, nobody's gonna miss it.
