That 20-minute break outside of Helsinki is at the car carrier station. They attach few wagons with cars to the train. Yeah, you can actually travel with your car on these overnight trains.
@mikkorenvall428

Yep. And also half an hour or 45 minutes break in Tampere too as they break the train to change some wagons in it. Also a longer stop at Seinäjoki or Kokkola to wait for on coming trafic.. And that guy walking in the cabin must have been the train clerc just to wake you up...

Different color trains was local trains. The long stop in the start was most likely getting the car trains connected so it was part of the schedule. You can buy a place for a car to those night trains so you get your own car with you but don't need to drive the whole way.

"most of the water you can drink from the tap", welll, ALL of the water from any tap is fully drinkable. The train wash basin might be the only place that you might not want to drink it, but even that usually is well maintained and in reality, is drinkable too. And yes, when you measure the water in a lab, Evian has 2500 units of bacteria, with a great brand, but the tap water (and 99.9% of the lakes) have that count 17. So, well branded fancy water, but the tap water is a lot better.

So excited to see you back in Finland! I have enjoyed your previous videos from Finland so much. Northern Sweden is also nice! Before covid you could book one bed from these sleeper cabins (male/male or female/female) but during covid it was switched to reservation per cabin. So it is a good deal if there are two traveling but can get pretty expensive if traveling solo! But it is very convenient mode of travel imo, have taken this trip many times.

And if you still are in Lapland, you can also drive to Norway and Nordkap over there. They claim "it is the most northern part of continental Europe", but: you go there and you see it really is on an island, and you see that in the west, there is a low peninsula going a bit more north. But that is a place to visit by a car, quickie to see that, in a big cliff, with a visitor center of course.

That is common thing that the trains just stops in the middle of nowhere. Usually it means that other train is coming from other direction and your train waits it on a sidetrack. We once went from Kokkola (200km south from Oulu) to Utsjoki at summer -89 with my sister and mom. From there we went over the border to Norway and came back to Enontekiö Finland. I was eight years old at the time and i hade my most loved teddybear with me. Well even before we got to Oulu, half of the stiching from my teddybears neck broke and his head was half off. We had to buy needle and string to fix my teddybear. I still have it and these days my kids playes with him. He is 35 years old already.

1. Not at all how you pronounce Oulu 2. All sleeper trains are Santa Claus expresses 3. The purple ones are Helsinki public transport commuter trains running through suburbs. All public transport modes arecoded by color: trains - purple, trams - green, busses - blue, subway - orange

Finland is the best place for illegal immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers etc. Coming to Finland as a legal immigrant (likewise me) to study, work, invest etc. is a waste of time.

@@JacobandJennyTravel The perspective of a tourist is, by some extent, different than an immigrant that wants to improve her/his life. Glad to hear that you had a great time. Thanks for your reply, anyway!

This takes me back. Last time I used overnight train it was when Blue Carriages were still a thing, in the 90's . en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VR_blue_carriages The newer Edm-series (these carriages) replaced them but some of them are still used during travelling seasons.

I am really glad to see your traveling videos but you can do one thing if you want to reach your audience you must know about the video channel well like your videos description keyword title etc. etc. section should be focused then you can reach your white audience. If you want to know more about it or if you think that I can give you a good direction, then send me your email in the comment box.
