@@arkan324 My statement is based on an official statistics of Eurostat. You can check it yourself too. In 2021, 8,1 litres of pure alcohol per capita were drunk in Finland. In the statistic before Finland were following European countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Czechia, Estonia, Austria, Poland, Slovenia, France, Spain, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, UK, Slovakia, Swizerland and Netherlands

Also, we can indeed often appear angry and hard to deal with, since we don't tolerate bs, not keeping up your promises and inefficiency. We want to keep our promises (and expect you to do so as well) and if something is broken or inefficient, we want to get on it as fast as possible and make it better. And we don't even start to consider it might hurt someone's feelings (like the person who made the thing we want to fix/improve) This is especially a big difference between Finland and Sweden, we don't sugar coat things, do intricate social maneuvering and in-direct messaging to achieve things (well, Finnish women still do, but usually not in business dealings). Which can come of as blunt, rude, brutish, insensitive and uncivilized to many other cultures Especially when I lived in Japan (I've lived there many times on and off since 2006), this was a massive problem that I had to learn to deal with The further you go outside of the Swedish-Finnish parts (South-West coast) and international cities (Helsinki and even Rovaniemi these days) in Finland, e.g. to the more traditional Finnish-Finnish areas, the more this can become an issue

Us Swedes usally see this almost autistic mentality as largely a thing of the north. Because it's similar in northern Sweden, and also in the cold parts of Russia. But on the other hand, you can experince some of these traits in "eastern" Europe, and in many parts of Germany as well.

Renny Harlin is a Finnish movie director, who has made some of the biggest Hollywood block buster movies. To name a few, he's directed "Die Hard 2", "Cliffhanger" and "Long kiss goodnight" - and he always put some Finnish items or things in his movies. For example, in Cliffhanger, one of the base jumpers had a parachute in a form of Finnish flag - and in the "Die hard 2" - the end scene (where Bruce Willis fights the bad guys and falls of the wing of an speeding aeroplane on a runway) - you can hear the Jean Sibelius's "Finlandia" Symphony over the raging jet engines. Now, that's beautiful!

Finns have to learn English and Swedish at school (and Finnish), and then in high school you can choose one other language if you want to like German, French or ...russian.

It is not primal (it is super complex), but it is indeed extremely ancient (has been unchanged for the longest time out of any modern language still in use) Finnish language once won the competition for the most beautiful and the most ugliest sentence in the world in the same competition xD

There is so much feeling of how something would be said instead of rules based pronunciation. The more deeper is the accent the more primal it sound, more feelings it carries and less rules it has.

I was living and worked & studied in Sweden Stockholm for 10years..long ago when i was very young i moved away from Finland to Stockholm,, i got so good Welcomed to Sweden ...learned Swedish well in swedish school, all classmates were lovely and loved me so much ❤😂..same also in my working place..i have so good experience of Swedes people..🇫🇮❤🇸🇪

Couple of comments about Finnish people being harsh and the Finnish language...as a native Finn (I might be a bit biased :)... Well, In general, Finnish people are not harsh (maybe some individuals might be having a bad day every now and then). Finnish people are often straight forward and honest - so maybe that comes out as being harsh to some foreigners, I don't know - but that's not the same as being rude or harsh. Quite the opposite in fact; being straight forward and honest is a helpful thing. It can save lives. "What a lovely looking big brown bear! Can I go and hug it?" "No! Stop and back away slowly without turning your back! Do as I say! Now!" And about Finnish Language...Well, J.R.R Tolkien was a linguistic and he loved Finnish language. Even so much that he based Elvish language on Finnish in his books of "Lord of The Rings". So, Tolkien described the Elves to be "fairest and the most beautiful of all of the creatures in the Middle-Earth" - and they spoke the most beautiful language there ever was...Finnish. A Little bit of History! Swedish colonisation led to several conflicts between the colonists and local population which have been recorded in the 14th century. In colonised areas the Finnish population principally lost its fishing and cultivation rights to the colonists.Though the Finnish provinces were an integral part of the Kingdom of Sweden with the same legal rights and duties as the rest of the realm, Finnish-speaking Swedish subjects faced comparative challenges in dealing with the authorities as Swedish was established as the sole official language of government. In fact, it remained a widely accepted view in Sweden proper that the Finns were in principle a separate and conquered people and therefore not necessarily entitled to be treated equitably with Swedes. Swedish kings visited Finland rarely and in Swedish contemporary texts Finns were often portrayed as primitive and their language inferior. So even today some swedish idiots act like Swedes in 14th century.....
