Fun fact: Austria is actually the beta tester country for McDonald's in Europe (probably due to being a wealthy small country), so many of the new flavors and technology (like the McDonald's app) arrive first to Austria. I remember there were always new, funky burger flavours as well when I lived there, which I think is related.

This comparison sucks. Tabasco imo is one of the worst hot sauces out there, it is not spicy compared to most hot sauces and it has a heavy touch of vinegar. I would even go as far as saying that hot devils sauce tastes way better.

@@IAmMeomeoSorry for escalating before, but I am a pretty big hot sauce fan and I tried a bunch, especially the offerings from Fireland Foods, so I am at this point where I wonder how people can hold Tabasco in such high regards or in other words how the brand stays alive when you can find better stuff beneath the next rock you walk by. The hot devils sauce is really decent, I was surprised when I noticed that Mc actually had the balls to serve something that is actually spicy and not just some sweet chili jam that they like to put into their burgers. Hot devil sauce and Mc Sundaes are the two products that bring me back to Mc at times, but usually I prefer BK.

I live in Vienna and my favourite thing about McDonald's is their advertisements. They always come up with super creative wordplays. (Especially at McCafé) If you know german you definitely have to check them out. I actually only go to McDonald's to get Matcha Latte as I don't like their food

I lived and worked in Austria. McDonalds over there has big standards as in another country. And in Italy you are not going to McDonalds jeez. But during the Winter Season in Austria and Germany they sell the Big Rösti. It‘s an amazing and very rustic Burger.

As an Austrian I just wanted to mention one thing very special about the Austrian Mcdonalds. A lot of the ingredients used in Mcdonalds are used from local Farms and are NOT imported. Which is one of the main reasons it taste soo good :D

Pro tip for visiting Austria around January. At the time when the Hüttenburger is available, the Big Rösti is available. Give it a shot! It has a bacon sprinkled bun, a big, fluffy potato patty, a meat patty cheese sauce and bacon strips.

Going out to eat (sit down not take away) is often very pricey in the U.S. but in Italy or Austria you have the most wonderful AFFORDABLE options. The cakes or ice cream in Austria alone or the sandwiches, pasta and fish dishes in Italy. Why would you want to go to fast food chains. I just don't get it. And their videos aren't even presenting anything new.

I'm Austrian and me and my bf actually eat the Hüttenburger all the time! Sadly it's only available like one to two months a year.. But I'm really disappointed that you apparently ate the small one, there's a bigger version with a hash brown in it (the best part), the bread has bacon bits and it's dripping in an amazing cheese sauce!
