From a bio mechanics standpoint: His swing puts SO much torque on his joints. He gets away with it because he’s young. But I can almost guarantee that any simple injury will trickle down and have a massive impact on his swing. I’d be hesitant to sign him to anything longer than 5 seasons. He’s essentially a just better version of Muncy, and look at how injuries have impacted his last few seasons.

I also pray the dodgers don’t get Soto
@pardeepsekhon15824 күн бұрын
Your honestly crazy.....this is exactly what they need. Being confident in yourself and doing no harm to anyone else with just moves isn't showboating. Especially if your able to deliver on that confidence! Why do you think the Dodgers are interested in him. Over the yrs they have kept losing cause they have been considered to be too nice and show no emotion. A guy like this around Ohtani, Betts and Freeman will defientely bring a balance to this team. I know they won it all this yr but a player like him doesn't hurt your lineup at all. As a Dodgers fan, you knew the Padres were gonna win that series before they started talking and gloating, thats what you call showboating! Those guys took that personally and cameback and continued to build off that momentum. They are gonna need a guy like Soto when the bats are cold to get them back and show up in the playoffs!
@aguyandhisak54624 күн бұрын
A player like soto doesnt hurt any team, but the dodgers dont need him and certainly wont pay the money that the Jays or Red Sox are willing to get him. Dodgers need pitching and gotta focus on getting Teo back to LA.
@ChairmanMeow16 күн бұрын
The thing about Soto is hes only 26!! Opportunities to get a player like that, at 26, are extremely rare. I love his confidence, he's the type of guy that can carry an offense and a team. I know the Yankees dont have an advantage but man, this is one of the rare FA's that I'd break the bank for. It felt like he just belonged in NYY.

I don't think much of him. OPS can be an overrated stat if you don't hit will with runners in scoring position. He's been on three teams in the last 4 years. His two years in SD were pedestrian at best. Ohtani is so much better. Soto wants an opt out after so many years which proves he is all about the $$$. Shoot, $453M was too low. As a Dodger fan, I want anyone but him. Give me two starting pitchers like Fried and Burnes over one player.

Friend, there are very few players who can perform at an elite level during the regular season and maintain that same level in the postseason. Many are regular-season players. Ronald Acuña Jr. is only hitting .257 with 3 home runs in 29 postseason games, Luis Arraez is hitting just .232 in 14 postseason games, and Anthony Santander is hitting only .211 in 5 postseason games. Bobby Witt Jr. is barely hitting .192 in 6 postseason games, and Mookie Betts is hitting .257 with only 8 home runs in 74 postseason games. Aaron Judge has a .205 batting average in 58 postseason games, and Shohei Ohtani is hitting just .230 in 16 postseason games. Juan Soto is one of the few elite players who maintains his level in the postseason; most players tend to fall off.
