The words are actually rather meaningful that's why players feel it so much, when it says "Siam pronti alla morte, l'Italia chiamo" it translates "We are ready to die for Italy" not word by word translation but that's the meaning, in Italian it sounds much better, particularly the final bit. It's like singing your last words before you dying in battle, that's the feeling.

Ed è una cosa che ammiro. Perché in Francia, l'unica cosa che si fa che il paese stia bene o meno, che il capo dello stato sia buono o meno, in generale il francese non fa che criticare e odiare il suo paese. @@Tatochka15 si odia solo qualcosa che un tempo amavi, e che magari in fondo ami ancora. Quando una cosa non ti interessa, non la puoi odiare. Oggi siamo soliti confondere il disprezzo con l'odio. Sono due cose diverse. Io odio l'Italia di oggi, l'incapacità delle persone di agire, di affrontare il problemi, di concedere un'occasione a chi verrà dopo. Ho 42 anni e comincio a entrare in quell'età in cui non pensi più solo al presente e al tuo futuro, ma anche a lasciare un segno in questa terra. Vorrei che la mia generazione facesse qualcosa di grande per permettere a quelle successive di rivivere il sogno dell'Italia che ho conosciuto da bambino. Odio l'Italia perché sono uno dei pochi rimasti ad amarla e a credere che avrebbe tutto per essere uno dei migliori, dei più benestanti e dei più giusti paesi del mondo. Come anche la Francia e la Spagna potrebbero esserlo. Purtroppo noi latini abbiamo qualcosa che non va. La caduta dell'impero romano ha lasciato qualcosa di distorto nel nostro DNA.
