2 points about the front USB ports, he didn't like the USB port being at the front of the mouse and how it was a bit tough to insert the USB cable, the port is on the front of the mouse so you can continue using it while it is on charge, as for being tough to insert, it is also hard to remove the cable which means the cable won't fall out while using it.

Hey Barry, yes true! You're right about the positioning but this mouse will rarely ever be used while charging simply because that battery lasts so long. Considering the price, I would of preferred some type of magnetic charging cable instead.

Hint on plugging USB, it seems difficult due to it slightly tilted up, thus makes it usable when plugged in. Alebit, there is a reason you buy a wireless. just throw it on the charger the day the LED shows you amber/red. I like the heavier weight of the OG, but this is passable and the recharge last 30+ days under a 40 our work week conditions.

Thanks buddy! We're currently looking into it! We chose the anywhere because it lives in our bag so we never have to think about it, but if you want a more comfortable experience and don't mind losing a bit of portability, the master is definitely the better choice!

I can see that the mouse has a micro USB port to insert the cable for charging. However, is the other end of the cable a traditional USB 3.0 ? I have a MacBook Pro and it only has thunderbolt ports, so I need to know if I will need to plug the USB 3.0 (if it has one) can be plugged into a USB dongle.

If you want it as close to a traditional mouse as possible, you can map either left on the wheel or right on the wheel to "middle button".

Hey Yang! The scroll wheel "click" is for the type of scrolling you want. The actual Mouse 3 or Scroll Wheel click is the button below the wheel :D

While you can customize some of the buttons, the biggest feature for this mouse is its portability! You can put it in your bag and always have it on you :D The software is great too! Appreciate you watching!

Agreed with you. The only drawback for its portability is no built-in compartment to store the wireless dongle itself. I think that is consider a cons as well.

Terrible that there’s no place to store the dongle. It’s made for traveling so where are you supposed to keep it? I realize it’s also Bluetooth but it is NOT as stable as the dongle which is why I use it for work. In addition, it utilizes micro USB instead of USB-C. Fail for a mouse at this price.

@@itcamefromabox The button underneath is not the same as the scroll wheel middle click I've mastered all my life. I have to relearn and it's frustrating. Logitech was able to cram freewheel mechanism into this tiny mouse but cannot make it click like a regular mx master. That doesn't make sense.

The original MX anywhere is a better mouse. the slide switch on the bottom was a killer feature. I bought a box of them to last the rest of my lifetime so i don't have to ever change.

Its so awkward when using CAD you have to transfer your middle finger to pan it slows down your work really bad very dissaponted.. I asked the store if its ok to replace it with another product they decline the return

I also purchased it to work with Autocad. You will have to uninstall the software to pan, but you will not get the benefits of the additional features that comes with it. Anyways it is still a very nice mouse. Is like the SUV of mice.

This looks like it could be cool...if my Windows 10 laptop could discover it! I have tried everything to get it to actually show up (yes...my Bluetooth discovery setting is on), but it doesn't work. Either it's defective, isn't compatible with my ASUS EP121 laptop/tablet, or I'm doing something wrong. Any possibility that you might be able to help me? It does work with the unifying receiver though, but I'm a mobile DJ, and my laptop only has two USB ports. I have to hook up an external hard drive and my controller, and a hub (even one hooked up with AC power) isn't powerful enough to power both devices. Hence the need for Bluetooth.

Sorry to hear bud! Have you checked if the Logitech software has an update for it? That's where i'd start and then i'd try connecting another Bluetooth device to see if your hardware works with it :O Also check if your Bluetooth has any driver updates!

I did, and no Logitech updates for this mouse. My phone discovers it, but it doesn't connect (I didn't try too hard to connect it though. I just wanted to see if it could be discovered on any Bluetooth device). Both my laptop and Bluetooth have the latest updates. I have seen videos about the MX Anywhere 2 (vs. the 2S), and they literally have a connect button. Is the 2 more advanced than the 2S?

I feel like this might come down to what version of Bluetooth your laptop may have :O We had this issue with a friends pc before where it just wouldn't show up except for his phone :\ I'd consider posting on the logitech boards too because I wouldn't be surprised if someone has had this issue too

I ended up taking it back to the local electronics store and had them exchange it for another one. After that, I had the store techies install it for me. They couldn't, so they determined that my laptop was too old :( I exchanged it for a crappy $20 2-button/one scroll Bluetooth mouse that does its basic job (I have now successfully installed that one). I will either have to get a newer computer, or get an older version of a mouse that is compatible with my laptop (I prefer the side buttons, which this one doesn't have). It's too bad though...I was looking forward to using it on a baby! lol
