Got the 2S, and after using it for a year, i got to say: The wheel of mine still doesn't have the rattle. Over all it's one of the best mice I ever owned, and I'm still totally happy with it. Initially I just used it with my Laptop, but by now I'm using it with nearly all my computers. The ability to connect one mouse to up to 3 computers, either by Bluetooth or via a Unify receiver is a kick ass feature for me! The sensor is super precise and works on nearly any surface. Even with daily use I only have to charge the battery every 3-4 month... Aaaaand it neatly fits my hands!

I was kinda thinking about getting the 2S while it's on sale, but seeing both 2 and 2S have a built-in Li-Ion battery, I'll keep my old MX Anywhere. It's beaten up a bit, but I like that it runs of 1x AA battery (or 2x if you want) and it lasts months. When the internal Li-Ion in either of these two wears off, all you can do is buy a new mouse I guess.
@foXnoMad5 жыл бұрын
True, though I like the rechargeable aspect since it's easier to manage when traveling.
@ondrasimek71395 жыл бұрын
@@foXnoMad Really depends... You can get an AA battery everywhere (even a NiZn AA works for few days) and you don't need a cable. The little indicator light lights up red few days before the battery runs out. As a bonus, I can change the weight distribution just by placing the AA in left or right compartment, or both :) ... I really hope (but doubt) the next version will be with AAs again, because the mouse is terrific, even for desktop. I tried one of the weird-looking blobby ergonomic mice (Microsoft Sculpt) and I simply couldn't use it - I kept sweeping it from the desk because I'm so used to my tiny MX :) .. Speaking of ergonomics, one of the healthiest things for your arm (and spine!), I believe, is to occasionally switch hands. Being basically ambidextrous, MX is pretty healthy.

Hey Mr Foxnomad, the 2 has a amazon sale of $29.99 today vs the still $48 2s. Do you think its worth copping the 2 or waiting out for a sale on 2s(which seems to never come?). Interested to hear your advice which you would buy if you can only get 1.
@foXnoMad5 жыл бұрын
It depends on your budget and whether the differences are worth the $20. Both are a great price for a very good travel mouse. Is there a specific feature drawing you toward the 2s?
@Curbietann5 жыл бұрын
@@foXnoMad the 4000dpi seems really appealing since i do some editing and light gaming. The 29.99 deal is now gone- so feeling a little hindsight regret.

For gaming, the high dpi will make a big difference.
@kiisseli13375 жыл бұрын
@@foXnoMad Most gamers use low DPI? But I dunno, what's the point of high DPI then to even exist? Anyway, I got the 2 with low DPI. Windows mouse speed should always be set to middle option and the "enhanced" accuracy box off. That should make every mouse act more accurately. After that I set the Logitech program speed to fit my 1080p laptop and it's almost in middle too. That setting should directly change DPI right? At least it does with my G502. But it's app is different. So why would I need the higher DPI of 2s if there is no need for it, it would only be too much?
@foXnoMad5 жыл бұрын

@@Janice-d-witnessing Ah sorry, I got it now. Bought the mx anywhere 2s few weeks back. I think it sucks that you seemingly (at least I didnt found out how) bind middle mouse button on the scroll wheel. Otherwise its light, small (perfect for portable stuff). Tho i heard you cant use it while charging, which is a big bummer to me. However I also heard it charges so fast that in mere minutes you can get enough charge in so it lasts a full day. Switching to bluetooth mice so I have an additional usable USB port on my laptop. Would be a charm if you could also fit in the unifying receiver into the mouse, but I can also live on "just" bluetooth.
@foXnoMad5 жыл бұрын
I didn't quite understand what you meant by the binding of the middle button, you can change it's function using the Logitech software. As for use while charging, you can use it while charging but as you said, a minute will give you an hour or so.
@thetute595 жыл бұрын
@@foXnoMad Im used to having the scroll-wheel click as the middle mouse button. This cannot be binded. At least I dont know how, as its the machanical "lock" of the scroll-wheel. More to the Anywhere 2s: I prefer to use it via bluetooth with my laptop as I need one less USB port. However, over bluetooth, I frequently have the issue that the mouse falls asleep very quickly and takes multiple seconds to wake up. Very annoying if you need to make a quick mouse-input about every 20 seconds. Is this an issue only Im having? Anyone esle having this issue?
@foXnoMad5 жыл бұрын
@@thetute59 Hmmm, the button on the top (middle button) might be an alternative to the scroll wheel, it can be mapped. As for the falling asleep, I only occasionally have the issue if my laptop has been idle for a few hours, then I might have to turn BT on and off to refresh the mouse.
@jonasha87125 жыл бұрын

If you at all deal with 3D software in any shape or form (if you are a designer or an architect), these are not for you. I have a 2s and am not sure if the regular 2 is the same, but it doesn't have a middle click button on the scroll wheel (extremely important for navigation in 3D software and CADs). There is no way to change it as it's designed to have only one function - to switch between infinite scroll, personally for me an absolute useless feature. I assigned the middle button to the button above the scroll wheel, only because I happened to unbox it over a month after I bought it - for many this is would be a deal breaker and I admit it's not as ergonomic and comfortable, makes the super-duper "gesture" features unusable, and your colleagues won't be able to use it if they want to take over your screen for a moment. I definitely regretted my purchase but stuck with it, I would not recommend it to any designer, and I wish there were more videos mentioning this feature. It is a beautiful mouse and lightweight, survived many drops, if you have small hands it is not a problem to use daily, but no proper middle click button takes away from all of that.
