In this episode I am riding to Cuenca, because I am in need of some good internet and get ready for the jungle for the next couple of days. On the way, I stop at Iglesia del Rocio, a stunning church built on the side of a mountain. There, I meet Maria, who tells me which area of Ecuador is not so safe to visit..

Welcome to Cuenca. I’ve been here for over 12 years and the main reason I’ve stayed is the kindness of the people. And the fresh food, great weather, fantastic architecture, and the life style. Of all the cities and pueblos in Ecuador, Cuenca is the best. And so close to surrounding countryside places to visit. You’ll love your stay here. Enjoy. And your Spanish is really good. Makes a huge difference in connecting with the people. You can really see how kind they are, especially the camposinos. Safe travels.

Hi Ms. Noraly! I'm so happy you're visiting Ecuador, my birth country. Lito and myself really enjoying watching all of your episodes. Thank you for sharing all of your adventures with us. It's much appreciated. If you're ever in Harrisonburg Virginia, please let's us know and you can stay with us for as long as you need. Lito, my husband would love to know how you found those back roads, he couldn't find them in the map when searching. He's a bike rider too and would love to explore more of my country now that we're retired. Be safe and God be with you 🙏🏼 Much love and appreciation, Lita & Lito 🤗

Noraly, one of the best parts of your videos is the interactions with the local people. A woman comes up as you are preparing to ride away. She asks about your family. She expresses concern about crime in an area. You not only take time to meet her, you are able to converse in her language and engage her for several minutes. That was a highlight of this post. Many people can ride the extreme parts of the world that you do. Although the rally segments last season suggest that the list may be more limited that I once thought. But your ability to connect to the local culture in their language is beyond the pale. Not as a blogger, but as a person, you are a very special and impressive individual. That is why I continue to follow and share with my grandchildren. Thank you for continuing to impress me.

Thank you Noraly for taking me back to a place I visited in 1988 with a couple of friends. Guayaquil had the same reputation back then and we did not go. You are practically retracing our route. We stayed overnight at the Edward Whymper refuge on top of Chimborazo sick from lack of oxygen. We also camped at the bottom of the crater at Playa de la Laguna Quilotoa and had a real bad surprise when we found the water loaded with sulfur and not suitable to cook with. In Coca that was a real jungle frontier town at that time we hired a guide and canoed through the jungle to spend a few days with a Auca tribe family. Almost lost our lives in an airplane crash trying to fly out of Coca back to Quito. That trip was one of the biggest adventures of my life. You have no idea how much I enjoy watching your tour. Cheers!

I'm loving the fact that you are back on the road to Alaska! I found you at the start of Series 2, then when the virus stopped you in Peru, I traced your wheel tracks through Series 1 and then on again through 3, 4 and 5. Series 6 feels like you are back doing what you are supposed to do but better than before! Over 250,000 views in one day for this video and approaching your first Million subscribers is amazing and so well-deserved! Congratulations!

The cities and their architecture are really stunningly beautiful. It was so thoughtful of the one lady to take a moment and chat near the church. Have a wonderful day.

Noraly, thank you again for such a wonderful episode. I do love how you interact with the locals and I'm amazed at how easily you can converse with them. The little lady that you were conversing with was so sweet and I could tell she was genuinely concerned about your well-being. As am I !!! Please stay safe young lady !!!👍👍

Two notes: - Direct after "which way, which way", you immediately entranced the road which you love it to ride with your motorcycle. The views are awesome. - And yes, the courthouse in Cuenca is really very beautiful place to visit. Keep on and surprise us again.

Thanks for sharing your tour of Cuenca. Looks like a really neat city. I'm glad you're taking note of the dangerous areas in South America and continue to keep your guard up. Enjoy the journey and stay safe! Thanks for sharing some of the history of the city.

Hi Noraly, these churches have in their architecture, a Round Dome roof on a square building. this transition is one of the greatest building advances in history, i believe its called a pendentive, so cool to see that dome close up. thanks
