That Mason generously let Noraly ride his rally replica bike with its paper roadbook proves to be valuable exposure for her rally training. Mason's Dakar Rally GoFundMe has exploded since Noraly linked it in her last video and promoted it. Hopefully the momentum will keep up and we'll see Mason's Dakar GoFundMe reach its goal.

@@L--Z Good catch, I'll delete my comment. BTW, that page was showing a recent donation and mention of Noraly's video. It's also confusing as your are referring to funds for the 2023 Dakar and I was looking at the funding for 2022. I see the rally as starting on 12/31 and others saying it starts on 1/1.

WOW!! Tense moments! Stage 1 was total frustration with situations that were out of Noraly’s control. But Itchy Boots always moves on! That’s why I just love watching! Well, that looked like a pretty considerable wipeout there, Noraly, glad you didn’t suffer another injury. The physically tough aspect of rallying is appearing here now. Again lots of help and support along the way is a comfort for those of us concerned for your wellbeing. You still haven’t lost the zest for life that keeps all of us viewers locked onto this channel. What a surprise having Mandy there to help, video, and support you Noraly. Mayhem, Murphy, and Fubar showing up didn't help you. Cactus in the hand, tower problems and that Alpha was taking a dirt nap in the teaser ... Gladyou did all you could to finish the first stage. Cannot wait to watch the next stage or two. 20 hours of penalties due to the broken tower. That might be a record for the DLBF* stage trophy. The way you adapted to the paper Road Book was impressive. *Dead Last But Finished, it was a cherished trophy back in the day. Most impressive is the way your videos are never about you. They are you experiencing the world. You are the Vessel, the places and people you encounter are the flowers. You nurture them so well and present them to us in full bloom.

@@solartherm Yepp. I tend to take closer looks at key scenes, and this one I gave a very thorough inspection. She really got hurt there. As she posted a photo of Alpha with the license plate mangled on Instagram, but her on the bike and riding, it apparently was only temporary. But this was a bad one. There must have been a pretty hefty head impact and some forced unnatural posture of the right leg. But hey: Get well with your own battle damage! 🤗 I hope it's not too bad! 💪

Ah our Noraly is such a gem! I would be completely demotivated and sulking after that Stage 1 and the technical problems... What does she do? Nothing fazes our Noraly! Always cheerful, always smiling, what an inspirational person! In these challenging times when at least in Europe, most of us are dealing with unpleasant politically created challenges like ridiculous energy costs, rising food prices, fear of WW3 and the MSM news everyday is somehow always bad, our Noraly is out there to remind us that at least we have our bikes! I would vote for her as an international ambassador for peace, common-sense and hope any day!

Absolutely worth the wait Noraly! Those overland layouts of the routes are fantastic - never seen anything like that before watching Lyndon Proskitt ride many rallies. Forgetting to buckle your helmet! NOT GOOD! Anyway day one was a learning experience and it paid off with a fantastic (rookie) time on day two and you even were helping out other rookies get their equipment set! We see you have already charmed all your competition - I hope they are prepared to be beaten...

@@L--Z she is coming along as a rider, but to do malemoto you have to know how to rebuild your motorcycle in the middle of the night and hop on it in the morning to ride the next day. Watch Lyndon Proskitt do the (South American) Dakar malemoto.

Sorry to see the teaser about your off, and what looks like maybe a broken collarbone? Up until now you've done fantastically! You should be proud. Pretty much anyone and everyone who's ridden bicycles or motorcycles for a long time has had a broken collarbone. Join the club, me too. Hope it's not too serious but really big bummer about having to possibly leave the rally and the delays for your upcoming plans. On the bright side they don't take forever to heal, and at least for me, after the first week not much pain. Best to you Noraly!
