Mark, if I may suggest what my Mom used to do to speed up thawing frozen items. Put your sink stopper in and run about an inch and a half of water then flat your frozen items, in a zip lock bag, in the water. After about 45 minutes t an hour flip the bag over. This will speed your thawing time up a lot. This is far better than thawing stuff out in a microwave cause that causes the edges of your food to be cooked. Thought about getting model the other day, didn't find one that took my interest, I know about the spaghetti wire mess, I have the same problem with my radio room, power cords, antenna coax, rotor wire to turn the antennas, I would try a hold off till June/July, for shampoo carpet, use the summer heat to help dry it out an let some of the fumes out. I watch videos by an Englishman who’s youtube channel is called Diecast outlaw, he gets old heavily play warn Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox, cars and vans he then renovates and customises them! You might enjoy what he does, and who knows he might give you inspiration to do something similar. All the best Jon👍🏻

Mark, I used to sell real estate. Once, I had a listing that had cat urine in the otherwise good carpets. I obtained a liquid deodorizer from a funeral home, sprayed the carpets, let them dry, and no one could smell anything in there!

Make sure they use a truck-mounted extraction carpet machine, those vacuum-looking jobs are useless. The carpet people will move the furniture you want moved.
