Threads Are Now Finally On Google Chat! YAY or NAY?

I actually liked the Topic Chat Rooms. Threads are ok, but the previous one was better. WE NEED READ RECEIPTS FOR SPACES.

You can now see who has read messages, you just need to click a button to see it though

When a comversation topic space upgrade to a in-line thread space, will every original topic become a tread?

I hope so but unfortunately it’s possible everything will be flattened into top-level space messages. Time will tell

Yeah you can see your threads in order of latest update now which is great!

@@itGenius_ good to hear. The main thing that prevents me from switching from Slack is its Sections feature that allows to organise channels. If they could have a feature like that for categorising Google Chats I’d switch.

I'm wondering if it's possible to invite a Google Group to become members of a Google Chat space. Will individuals who are part of that group automatically gain access to the chat space? Additionally, if we remove someone from that group, will they also be automatically removed from the chat space?

I’ve found it tends to work that way if it’s an internal space with internal members only, though if it’s an external group sometimes the members need to be added individually (and then they don’t automatically disappear from the room when they are removed from the group)

I can't event add a group to a chat space. The group email will be highlighted in red, and I can't add it. Is there a specific setting i need to do to enable group to be added in space?@@itGenius_
