As a goth who lives in south Texas, it's an experience living here. Not only is it extremely hot during the summer, but it's also humid, and not the rainy kind either. I'm talking air so thick that just running through it covers you in condensation. Luckily, if you do live in a hotter place like this, the only kind of AC available is quite literally refrigeration (as opposed to a swamp cooler which a lot of people have in other parts of the world). On the flip side, since hot air rises and cool air sinks, once it hits like 10 AM, you either go downstairs or risk melting in the upper floors of the house.

As for high temperatures, I live in central Texas, where it's been over 100° more times in the past 2 months than I have fingers and toes. I despise it. I am stuck in a neck immobilizing collar as well, so I try not to leave the comfort of the air conditioned house unless my service dog requires the grass or I need to see one of my doctors, maybe a trip to the grocery. I haven't even been taking my service dog with me because the parking lots and sidewalks are just too hot for his paws🐾🔥

I always thought killstar was overpriced. Do some looking around and im sure you can some other great things on a student budget, i have! it just takes time. plus a know a local blacksmith/leather worker, commissioning custom work is ridiculously expensive but if you want the ultimate quality its the way to go. i only have 2 custom pieces but i will always adore them, the rest of my wardrobe is scavenged from all over the place: then i DIYed them to tweak it. Sometimes if you are super lucky you can even find gothey things at thrift shops! (that's kinda rare though) TLDR you have many options so look around before you go in......unless you NEED TO HAVE that one killstar thing and nothing else will do......then enjoy.

You poor thing!! I can completely relate to the heat thing and it only gets worse, the older you get. I live in the U.S., in the Nevada desert, we've had a heat wave of 110F for days, now it's back down to normal at 104F a day but we are going through our monsoon season so it's humid, too. We only leave the house at night. Black drapes, with black-out curtains behind them, our house is like a warm bat cave all day. Come on Autumn!! Love the KillStar haul, BTW!!

A good trick when you have no air con is to put an icy can of drink from the fridge under one armpit and, if you are just sitting down, another in the front crease of your groin. It's an elegant look for sure😉. Change cans over as needed. Cools the blood and you'll feel better in a minute or so! Only try if you know you don't get freezer burn from icepacks though.
