Never understand why people are concerned with high/low season. I've visited throughout the year at different times and always had a good time regardless of how busy it was.

I think it comes from an outdated understanding how Pattaya operates now. 25+ years ago the beer bars and Agogos were desperate to make enough profit in high season to cover running at a loss in low season. However between the vastly increased low season numbers (compared to what went before) and the vast number if expats now in Pattaya, that's much less of an issue. Sure, 10-20% of the bars close/change hands in low season but that's usually because they don't have customers any time of year, whilst the more popular ones can at least cover their costs all year round. The biggest issue Pattaya has from a Farang perspective is the changing demographic and the changing tastes that accompany it. I'd say that GCs are probably the least affected by the seasons and yes I much prefer low season except the UK weather is so atrocious...

The majority of tourists going there are Indians/ Chinese/Koreans not as many Westerners visiting which is bad for the bars i've walked around at different times and the bars are 80% girls .

I suggest you visit the bars in Rhompoo area in Jomtien if you think 70-80% of the bars are busy !! Never seen it so quiet and it is strange I agree....Soi 7 bars Jomtien likewise very little foot traffic

Agreed Webby. Plenty of tourists but take a look at Soi 7-8 and the bars of TreeTown and Myth night around 10pm any given night. They are very quiet still.I wish you well and hope to visit you bar in a few weeks time, once it is all up and running smoothly👍🏻

So competition for those joining will only ever increase with higher salaries and often lower standards. Hence many places switching to clubs/discos with less need for staff.

Good luck mate, ignore the negative vibe these people hate on every channel, It's very sad for them. You are in a trade I know nothing about, but looking after staff is important for every business. Looking after the girls will need someone who understands them from their point of view, so a trusted mum figure to guide them and console etc. It took a year for my business to take off properly starting from scratch, you bought into a going concern so it should be quicker, but usually cultural change will take time too, so be patient.
