Hi fellas. Awesome build and loving the detail, so many of this type of video lack the important details. Q1. Do you have to notify dvla of changes to the body? And would that effect registration? Q2. Could it be run it as a 2wd? I'd love to do a v6 or v8 conversion on my old 2.5 T5, mainly for the sound and I miss driving a v6 and v8 petrol but also to get rid of the poorly chosen 09k gearbox. I have thought maybe a A6/A4 v6 tdi quattro might be a budget conversion as you can get a full car for a grand. I'll keep dreaming for now 😊 Thanks again, great video

i have been thinking about an m57 conversion on a t5

in my youuth i had this idea of a bedford van with a jaguar / bmw V12 sitting backwards behind the front seats (gearbox pointing to the front) , gearbox going intoo a chaindrive of a geardrive then a long driveshaft to the back of the van intoo an offset diff if you where to use an american style 4x4 setup with the splitterbox and 2 seperate diffs you could still do that , the diff mouted in the gearbox does make it harder (not impossible though but you need a loooong driveshaft from the back of the box all the way to the front of the car and verry long cables for the gearbox itself and make a irs rearsetup)

The electronics side will be interesting getting the ecu to do launch without wheel sensors ect. 🤔 Canbus system? Using a standalone?

If your not going to use the rear heater/AC be intrested in the AC pipes which run down drivers side if you aint destroyed them. Following project with interest cant wait to see it on the local roads.
